Our priority registration deadline is September 23rd. Students who register after this date can join if we still have space available.

We on a break for the remainder of the summer. We will start both in-person and online classes again on October 1st, with new student interviews on September 26th. Where: Church of the Good Samaritan (333 NW 35th Street in Corvallis)
Who: Beginning, intermediate, and advanced English learners will be in separate classes
April 8th Update: Our in-person classes are currently full. (Our Zoom class still has some space for new students.) Students who register for our in-person classes will be added to our waiting list.

Cost: $55/term (payable by cash of check in person or via credit card online)
New student testing: April 2nd at 9:15 am

Online class
When: Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 am, April 2nd-June 4th
Where: Zoom (we will send a link before the first class)
Who: Intermediate and advanced English learners will be together in one class (our online option isn't available for beginners)
Cost: $27.50/term (payable via credit card online)
No new student testing required for this class

A limited number of scholarships are available for students in financial need - please indicate on the registration form if you would like us to send you a scholarship application.

We had a wonderful end-of-term party this past week. Thank you to everyone - teachers, students, and substitute teachers - for a fantastic year!

We do not hold classes during the summer, but will start classes again in the fall. New student testing will be on September 28th and the first day of classes will be on October 3rd.

Update on April 11, 2023: Some levels of in-person classes are now full. New students will be interviewed to determine level and may be placed on a waiting list if their level is full.

On Thursday we had a wonderful end-of-the-term potluck and party for our in-person classes! We wish everyone a safe and warm winter break, and look forward to seeing you back for winter term on January 10th.

We had small classes on Thursday because many students had children home from school and one of our classes went to a teacher's home for a party. The classes that stayed combined to make some Halloween lips (apples slices for lips with marshmallows for teeth and peanut butter holding it all together) and eat some Halloween treats!

We are so excited to be back to having in-person classes on Tuesdays (in addition to Zoom classes on Thursdays).

We are now offering in-person classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the Church of the Good Samaritan. These classes are open to students at the high-beginning level and above. Students will be required to show proof of full vaccination in order to join in-person classes. Masks are optional but welcome.

We are also offering a Zoom class on Thursday mornings for intermediate and advanced students.

All classes meet from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

The tuition fee is $50/term for in-person classes and $25/term for the Zoom class (or scholarships are available to those in financial need - please send a message to inquire).

Yesterday we met at Coffee Culture for our end-of-the-term gathering. It was wonderful to meet each other in person, some of us for the first time in months and some of us for the first time ever.

Our Crossroads meet-up at Avery Park is cancelled for the rest of the summer due to low attendance.

Our first day of fall classes will be on September 23rd. We aren't sure yet if we will meet in-person or online - please watch this page for updates about location and how to register. We are eager to see our returning students and welcome new students to our school!

Crossroads Conversation School for Women Classes for international women to improve their English, develop friendships, &
explore US culture.

The Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center is offering a FREE summer camp for kids ages 7-13 (beginning 2nd through 8th grade) who are learning English. This camp starts next week. See below for more information, and please share with any families that might be interested!

We continue to meet every Tuesday mornings at Avery Park near the train engine at 10 am- all women and children are welcome to join us! (Don't forget to bring a blanket or chair to sit on.)

On 3 upcoming Tuesdays - July 20, August 3, and August 19 - we will have special child-focused activities provided by the Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center. These might be great days to join us if you have been thinking about coming but haven't made it yet!

On Tuesday we had our first meet-up of the summer. We will be having a a meet-up every Tuesday morning this summer at 10:00 am at Avery Park near the train engine (near the southeast corner of the park).

This will be an informal meet-up - you don't need to register and can come as much or as little as you would like. You are welcome to invite friends and bring your children, too.

If you come, you will need to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. You will also need to plan to wear a mask as not everyone in the group is vaccinated (and you should stay home if you have any COVID symptoms).
