Graduate opportunities: Oregon Sea Grant is currently accepting applications for its spring graduate-level opportunities, featuring the Oregon Natural Resource Policy Fellowship (NRPF) and the Malouf Marine Studies Scholarship. The NRPF provides hands-on experience in natural resource policy at the state level, while the Malouf Scholarship supports graduate students conducting societally relevant coastal research applicable to Oregon. Take Back the Night: Take Back the Night is an internationally recognized event held to protest sexual violence in all its forms and to provide a safe, confidential space for survivors of sexual violence to share their stories. This year's Take Back the Night at OSU will be held from 7-10 p.m., April 25 in the SEC Plaza and will feature a rally with keynote speakers and student performers, a march, and a survivor speakout. There will be an exception made to OSU's responsible employee reporting requirements for this event regarding any disclosures of sexual assault. Confidential CAPS counselors and survivor advocates from CAPE and CARDV will be on site to provide support and connection to resources.

Oregon State Ecampus has set aside limited funding to assist online students who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship that interferes with academic progress. This funding is being provided to help ensure that Ecampus students with demonstrated financial need are able to continue their education at OSU.
Ecampus Financial Hardship Grant Fund Eligibility Criteria (must meet all the following):
• Current or continuing undergraduate Ecampus students, and
• Enrolled in at least 6 online Oregon State credit hours during the current academic term at the time of application, and
• Currently experiencing economic hardship that significantly impedes academic progress

Our Story

The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Oregon State University was founded in 1972 and has since grown to include a major in WGSS, a minor in WGSS and Q***r Studies, an MA in WGSS, a PhD in WGSS, and graduate minors in WGSS and Q***r Studies at the Master's and Doctoral levels.

Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR is located in the traditional territory of the Chepenefa ("Mary's River") band of the Kalapuya. After the Kalapuya Treaty (Treaty of Dayton) in 1855, Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to what are now the Grand Ronde and Siletz reservations, and are now members of Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon (https://www.grandronde.org) and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians (http://ctsi.nsn.us).
