We are thrilled to report that classmate Rhonda (Dean) Williams is back in Corvallis after her 8-month odyssey with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. She spent the last four months at a specialty rehab in Chicago and after lots of hard work, she feels better every day. We enjoyed catching up today…her future looks bright! Thanks to everyone who donated to her GoFundMe and posted words of encouragement. Welcome home, Rhonda!

We received news of the passing yesterday of CVHS teacher and coach, Jerry Colonna at age 79. We will post his obituary when it is available but Dan Botti shared a link with us to this recent online article about Jerry.

Classmate Paul Davis is heading in for back surgery late this afternoon. He has plenty of experience with surgeries but this one comes on short notice. Please keep him in your thoughts. Hopefully he will be home on Monday.

Yesterday we received an update on classmate Rhonda (Dean) Williams. "Rhonda is in Chicago and doing great things as we all knew she would. Keep the positive vibes flowing her way."

We posted in mid-November that classmate Rhonda (Dean) Williams had been admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis with Guillian-Barre Syndrome. She was later transferred to a Portland hospital and is improving. Friends have started a GoFundMe to assist with some large, anticipated medical expenses. Please read her story and consider helping and keep Rhonda in your thoughts.

We received the terrible news this afternoon the classmate Kirt Edblom died early today. We will share more in the coming days but his death was sudden and as Kirt’s close friend and neighbor, we are overwhelmed and sad.

We have received notice that classmate Rhonda (Dean) Williams has been hospitalized in critical condition with Guillain-Barré syndrome. She is at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. Please keep Rhonda in your thoughts and prayers.

Hey! Central Oregon and Valley classmates & friends: a Halloween gathering is being planned for Saturday, October 28th in Redmond. Liz Foster is arranging a meet-up at General Duffy's Waterhole. It includes a costume party and runs from 6:30-10:00pm at 404 SW Forest Avenue. What a great opportunity to visit old friends and celebrate the season! We are confirmed with Jeb, the owner of Murphy's on the River, to gather on their patio tonight starting at 7:00pm. CHS '78 and friends of the classes are joining us too. Be generous and courteous with the staff. They are welcoming us at no charge. This event is no-host.

The registration price for tomorrow evening is now $30/person. It is still easy to register and pay from our secure page. Jim Zeller is making name tags so if you are just dropping in tonight and not coming tomorrow, send us an email and we will let Jim know...by noon today, please! If you plan to show up tomorrow evening without registering, bring cash. We won't have an electronic payment system at the venue.

We will have tables set up at the Corvallis Community Center both inside and outside because the weather...thank God...will be amazing! Kirt Edblom will take a group photo (by drone) around 6:45pm. Come hungry because Nick's Soul Food is dishing up his most popular menu items for us. We have an alcohol permit so bring your drinks of choice. Non-alcoholic limeade will be served on the buffet but anything else needs to be brought by you.

We are setting up at 3:30pm so any help rolling out tables and setting up chairs is appreciated. Same for taking things down at 9:00pm. Thanks to everyone for their support and positive comments. This is going to be a fun weekend!
