Week 4 at Corvallis YVC was a success! We wrapped up the week on the top of Mary's Peak working with the Forest Service to work on some trails. We had a great time with our volunteers this week and are excited to meet next week's group!

We finished off week 3 with a work party at the coast doing a beach clean up! This week we had a great group of volunteers working with us on community projects and working at the Parks and Recreation Penny Carnival. Thanks to everyone who helped out this week, we couldn't do it without you!

Summer is just around the corner! With it comes the YVC summer of Service. We have 10 weeks of summer youth volunteer opportunities starting on June 20th and ending on August 26th. Happy Earth Day! We celebrated Earth Day a little early with our Planet Palooza event last Saturday. Volunteers helped to facilitate a community parade that ended in a solutions fair featuring local organizations sharing ways to live more sustainably. How will you INS "PI" RE others today? Whoever said mathematicians aren't fun hasn't celebrated Pi day! Participating in fun themes like Pi Day can bring people together, make a difference, build community, inspire, be silly, promote STEM interest in youth, educate people about important issues, build bridges across differences! You can bake round or Pi inspired foods (pizza, cake, pie, quiche, etc.) and take them to a homeless shelter. Walk, jog, or run 3.14 miles for exercise!
