π THE SEASON FINALE | Behind the Scenes π Feet of Clay was commissioned by EMERGE and The Julius Quartet for their program βThe Evergreenβ in May 2024. The piece is in five movements and composed for string quartet and tuned clay pots. Each quartet member will have four hanging clay pots that will strike throughout the 20-minute work.

π² EVERGREENπ² [to grow] is a dazzling musical experience through the traditional concert setting that features Caroline Shawβs The Evergreen into a culturally relevant crisis, thus affecting our everyday lives. Featuring violinist David Do and violist John Batchelder of the award-winning Julius Quartet alongside violinist Eleanor Dunbar and cellist SaiSai Ding, this cross-discipline project brings about new collaborative experiences through the artistic and scientific lens, and raises awareness of climate change in the city of Dallas.
The Elevator Project proudly presents exciting and ambitious new work by small and emerging Dallas arts groups on the campus of the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

We are thrilled to present pianist Judith Gordon in a one-night solo recital. Making her EMERGE debut last season, Judith captivated audiences with her expressive musicality, electric energy and warm personality.

Pianist Judith Gordon explores diverse repertoire in collaboration with an exceptionally wide range of solo artists and ensembles. She was a member of the percussion-based Essential Music, focusing on the American Experimental tradition, and has been soloist in works from Bach and Ravel to Cage and Boulez with groups including the Boston Pops Orchestra, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Gordon has been a consulting director of Music from Salem, in Washington County, NY, and the Harvard, MA, Chamber Music Workshop, as well as a featured performer at the Apple Hill, Bard, Bennington, Charlottesville, Music Mountain, Rockport, Santa Fe Chamber Music, and Tanglewood festivals. An associate professor of music at Smith College from 2006-20, she is a graduate of the New England Conservatory, where she recently received an Outstanding Alumni Award. Now based in New Mexico, she plays regularly with the musicians of ChatterABQ.
