The World Needs an Action Hero. Enter Twyla Tharp (and Camus). 08/23/2024

We loved this piece about legendary choreographer Twyla Tharp Dance Foundation in the The New York Times published in February where she talks about the inspiration behind her newest piece “How Long Blues,” at Little Island in Manhattan.

“This piece is about action, it’s about an action hero. It becomes taking action and extending that into dance rather than trying to stuff dance into a narrative.”

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Twyla Tharp Dance as our season opener on September 20th!
