Stand With Rachmad: Support Inclusivity in Education 🌈

Rachmad, a beloved science teacher at Hebron High School, has been unjustly placed on administrative leave. This action followed the circulation of a video by an opposition group, which targeted Rachmad for expressing spirit and solidarity by wearing a pink dress on Spirit Day. Rachmad’s dedication to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment has not gone unnoticed, as students and community members have rallied for their return. Exceptional educators like Rachmad are the backbone of our educational system, and we must not let prejudice overshadow the values of acceptance and love they impart.

Your Voice Matters – Here’s How You Can Help:
1. Voice Your Support: Register to speak at the LISD board meeting before March 4th, 1 PM. Visit LISD Board Meeting Registration or access the link in our bio.

2. Send a Message Against Hate: Email the LISD Board of Trustees to express your rejection of hate. Use the QR code provided or the link in our bio to send your message.

3. Show Up in Solidarity: Join us with signs and banners for a peaceful rally outside the LISD school board meeting. Let’s make our support visible!

We are so excited for our screening of Love, Simon: a q***r coming of age story centered not just around love, but also friendship. TEC is excited to invite all TGNC adults to our December Gender Fam event - the Holi-Gays! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ This annual celebration is jammed-pack full of fun festivities, including an ugly sweater contest, a holiday cookie exchange, a White Elephant gift exchange, and a gingerbread house decorating contest.

If you're able, come donned in your favorite holiday sweater, bring in some cookies to share, as well as a silly gift to exchange with your trans fam (something tacky or funny, found or bought- $10 max). We'll enjoy all the fun activities while sipping hot cocoa from our self-serve hot chocolate bar and listening to all the greatest holiday hits. You don't want to miss the last Gender Fam of the year! 🎄
