This is the day where Bandcamp generously waives their fees and passes 100% of every sale made directly to the artist. No other platform does this for artists and it’s awesome! It’s no secret that the music industry is not financially set up in favor of the music creators, in fact it’s usually a rip-off for most! Just think about all of the passion, determination, time, sacrifice, emotional/physical/financial drain of resources, and even more crazy s**t that an artist goes through- just to create your favorite songs (that you love)! Now, think about what people do to reward those artists for those amazing musical gifts that they love so dearly… Unfortunately, the answer is sad! Most people might give it a listen on a streaming channel, maybe a social media thumbs-up, and if you’re “lucky”- they might save you to a playlist…

The truth behind this matter is that the revenue for artists from streaming channels is fractions of a penny per play. When an artist spends money to promote their music on streaming channels (through advertising), they need thousands of steams just to maybe break even (which is usually not the case). All that amazing work, for so little or no reward. The listener gets paid over and over again with the musical gifts of each song they consume for a minimal monthly streaming service subscription- that gives them access to a virtually unlimited number of songs. Just divide the number of songs you consume regularly by the amount of artists that created the music, and you will immediately understand the discrepancy.

I love streaming music, but it’s a shameful rip-off for the artists that make the music people love and consume!

My goal is not to shame people for listening to music, however I do want to help ALL artists get paid for their amazing work (including me). Bandcamp gives fans the opportunity to pay musicians what they are worth, for the music they love to listen to! Everyone expects to get PAID WELL for a hard day’s work at their job (every day), right? Well then… I would argue that paying for a song one time is not much to ask, considering everything I just explained. Don’t you agree???

Erik Gustafson did an amazing job on transforming my song into a badass DJ/Dancefloor banger of a song! 🖤🤘

Erik and I go way back to the days of the 90's Industrial/Goth scene of Austin, Texas! He was in the band Terminal 46 and I was in Tungsten Coil. Our bands ruled that scene back then and I will cherish those memories forever!

I've always wanted to work with Erik again, but the opportunity never revealed itself (until now). This remix marks our first collaboration in a long time, and there's more coming from us soon, so stay tuned...

“This was a great opportunity to work with an old friend. Our bands had toured together many years ago, so this was so cool!

While I liked his original song; it has this morose feel and vibe, I was definitely feeling like I could turn this into a Dancefloor/DJ banger and kinda also make it heavier. I feel I nailed those things by adding this “Orgy/The Birthday Massacre” fuzz guitar and some galloping programming and a big beat. I am really happy with how it came out! I think it could find a home on many Spotify Industrial, Dark electro, and even Synthwave/Industrial bass playlists!”
