Grandparents' Day at DBU is Friday, April 26. Guests are invited to attend Friday Chapel at 10:00 a.m. followed by a special luncheon designed for DBU students and their guests. The luncheon takes place at 11:30 a.m. in the Great Hall. Guests are also invited to attend the Annual Hymn Sing at 1:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Pilgrim Chapel. Your registration of $18.00 (per student and each guest) covers all the day's activities. We look forward to seeing you at Grandparents' Day 2024!

The 2024 Patriot Baseball season is here! DBU Athletics and Patriot Baseball invite you, your family, and your friends to Horner Ballpark this weekend as the season begins with a home series against the Southeast Missouri Redhawks. The first of three games will take place on Friday, February 16, at 3:05 p.m. We look forward to seeing you at Horner Ballpark this weekend and throughout the spring season.

Lunch With Your Professors is happening today! Professors from the College of Business and College of Christian Faith will be in the DBU Dining Hall from 11am until 1pm. What a great way for DBU students to get to know, on a personal level, these great DBU Instructors! I hope your students will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity!

Happy Labor Day Weekend! Is your student traveling home for Labor Day? If so, this is a great time to discuss and confirm that you, as parents, have FERPA/PROXY ACCESS. What is FERPA? Check it out: dbu.edu/proxy. Having access, granted by your student, will enable you to view your student’s educational and/or financial records in a secure, online environment.

SAVE THE DATE FOR FAMILY WEEKEND: NOVEMBER 17-18, 2023. Family Weekend will be a part of Homecoming this year. The dates for families to join in on the weeklong Homecoming activities will be Friday, 11/17 and Saturday, 11/18. Detailed information about Family Weekend will be coming soon!

The DBU Fall Semester is off to a great start! We are so excited to have returning students and NEW students on the DBU campus! Please join us in praying for tonight’s BSM Coffee House. Our Baptist Student Ministry will be hosting a church and missions fair this evening on the Quad. Over 90 local churches and ministries will be on campus to meet DBU students. Pray that students will come to the event with the desire to get plugged in to a local church. We are looking forward to seeing YOUR student at the BSM Coffee House!

Congratulations to our August Graduates! The DBU Faculty and Staff are looking forward to celebrating with our graduates and their guests at the Candlelighting Service tonight and the Commencement Service tomorrow! Thank you DBU Parents for entrusting your students to DBU! Your love, prayers, and support have helped bring them to this exciting time in their life! Great job MOM and DAD!!!
