Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery pieces using gold to bind them back together. I feel like this project has been a means of self-repair and healing. Embracing the parts of myself that I've hidden away and being reminded that the wounds I've carried brought me here. Grateful for it all ⁠⁠🤍

Still LO, it's just short for LOREN KOLE now 🐉

For five years now, I've been able to develop my artistry under the name "LO" but it's been incredibly difficult for my work to be found under that name. I spent a lot of time fighting to be heard and discovered but I just kept hitting dead ends.

As an artist, my job is to tell stories and convey a message that reaches beyond the tangible, and I think it's incredibly important that these messages reach farther into the hearts and minds of the people who need them most.

So, here's to another chapter of my story 🖤
