On this this day in 2010 (July 23), we were heartbroken to share with you that Richard Bodwin journeyed to his Master's Kingdom.

Richard was a Knight of Columbus, a great Christian husband, father, grandfather, friend ... and fundraising guru. Richard brainstormed and implemented, at the behest of then-pastor Fr. Tim Gollob, the infamous "Jumbo Gumbo" creole parish food fest. Through God's bounteous blessings, Fr. Tim's approval and support, and parishioners' numerous hours of planning and hard work over many years, this fundraiser helped pay a large part of the construction costs of our parish sanctuary at 5004 Bonnie View Rd.

We love and miss you, Richard. And we won't even mind if you throw us a fundraising idea every now and then, why dontcha?!

Dallas Courts 102 and 414 will be present. Pray with us!

As more resources are secured, Catholic Charities will be offering:
-- Case management
-- Food Pantry Services
-- Financial Assistance to help with insurance deductibles for homes or vehicles damaged by the storm (proof of damage required) and other immediate needs such as clothes/hygiene items etc.--
Gift cards to cover any immediate needs like clothes, hygiene items, food, etc.

Our parish office is closed today -- Tuesday, May 28 -- due to issues resulting from the storms. We plan to reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, May 29, at 10am.

On this Memorial Day, we pray for the souls of all the faithful departed who died so that we might live. May their souls rest in peace. Amen
