We will be back up and “running” next Monday the 1st. Till then, enjoy my kid suffering in the Swiss Alps, fog, low 50’s at 4pm.
Super proud of … all this guy does, is win! Hoping there’s a spot on the Olympic team for this guy!
Congratulations Aviel. You put in the work that others weren’t willing to do. Sacrifices of the short term to win at the long term are the exception in modern society. You will always be a winner with that attitude. I look forward to watching your career grow as an athlete and then as a young adult. Great job young man!!!
Coach, listen to your players.
Are you not entertained?
Have a magical weekend everyone!
Let’s get back on it tomorrow!
Patient came in with discomfort looking up and down. 15 minutes later with Active Release Techniques (ART) and a specific adjustment to his upper thoracic region and we’ve got major improvements. There’s not much he could have done on his own to improve the range. Comfort wise…Ice, topical CBD, or Relief Cream would help.
Beach time is over. We have some availability Tuesday and Wednesday. Call the office and we’ll get you in.
Dr. Grimm will be out of the office this week. Maureen will be available to schedule appointments for next week. Happy New Year everyone.

Good luck Coach tomorrow at CIM. Dawn will be attempting yet another Olympic Qualification time. It’s been an honor to work with this amazing mom, coach, and runner. Lucky bib #22.
Recertification for Active Release Techniques (ART) is completed. Great group of practitioners and instructors!
Fall is looking beautiful. Heading out this Wednesday afternoon for Continuing Education. Still a few spots this week.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
Indirectly I’m a chiropractor because of this guy. Cheers to you Dr. Di**le!
Thanks for a race used jersey she wore from the 2023 Giro d’ Italia.
A huge shout-out for .l.thompson selecting to continue her academic and running career endeavors. I will miss your charismatic personality and your enthusiasm to be the best athlete. Your victories are our victories. We cheer silently always wondering, did we assist you enough? Your acceptance to Princeton confirms all suspicions of what a well-rounded person you are. Princeton for the victory, well done Tigers, well done Margaret.
Almost a wrap. Have a magical weekend everyone!
We had a blast at the Half Marathon yesterday. Congratulations to all the runners making it happen. Well done.
Best of luck Margaret at the Texas State Championship for XC. You’re already a champion!
A new patient came in the other day. He had never been to a Chiro. He obviously had reduced neck flexion with discomfort. Some ART and an adjustment and we’ve got improvement.
Super excited for the Half this Sunday. Stop by the tent and get some ART or massage done. We have water bottles while supplies last.
Congratulations . Your season has been unbelievable! Add this to a Top 20 UCI World Championship finish plus a USA Gravel National Championship .
That’s a wrap for today. We’ve got two spots open tomorrow (a rare one for Friday). Have a magical weekend for those I don’t see tomorrow.
Super excited to work on the runners at the Half. We’ll have some give away water bottles too.
A few spots are available today and tomorrow.
I started working with this runner a few weeks ago. Symptoms included R ankle loss of dorsiflexion with pain when running. She couldn’t get her right knee past her toes without her heal coming off the floor. This leads to an obvious gait change with a “pogo” effect coming off the right leg and putting undo stress on the left leg to support what the right side isn’t doing. Left untreated, the runner would most likely come in for left hip pain because of the compensation of the right ankle not doing its job. Generally, a runner could do a bunch of gastroc and post tib stretches but this was a bit more complicated. There were a bunch of adhesions on the inside ankle area that was effectively reducing the inversion/eversion of the ankle. The same could also be said at the anterior aspect of the ankle. We used a bunch of ART, acoustic wave, and chiropractic ankle adjustments to increase the ROM of the ankle. She has been very consistent with her care and it’s paying dividends with less discomfort and better workouts. The ultimate goal is to have the right and left ankles have the same ROM.
A classic sprain of the hamstring. Most likely a vertical tear, and it’s gonna take a good 4 weeks to fully heal. The tape will help pull out the bruise and support normal function thru the healing process. As a runner, she can still keep her fitness using the bike as tolerated. Running and swimming is probably not a good idea. Getting an extra hour of sleep each day would be wise. Staying away from processed foods that create inflammation is a good idea. Foods such as arugula and beets are high in nitric acid which is known to expand the walls of blood flow systems could help too. Cryo Therapy would be a good idea because the effects increase oxygen saturation to the extremities. Chiropractic care is needed because, as you guessed, the L pelvis is anteriorly rotated, so we can adjust to take pressure off the hamstring and finally we can use ART Techniques to break up the scar tissue that’s forming in the horizontal plane which would restrict the normal elastic movement.
