The finishing touches of any project are what turn a house or a build into someone's home. People ask where they should start if they want to begin investing in antiques, and probably the easiest place is with accessories! Find smaller pieces that bring you joy to look at and are versatile within your own personal style. And then every few months, if you want to switch things up, just rotate all your pretty antiques one room over!
If you come on the right day, you might get to shop with a buddy. He doesn't have great taste in furniture, but he likes pretty much every human he's ever met.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed working here. The team is small and kind and we all know each other well! Every day is different. We get different clients in, they have different requests, and some days you're brushing shoulders with real interior design veterans and they are always so interesting to talk to! The job is also very creative and interesting. You have a lot of leeway to really make it your own as far as creative direction goes, and it's so inspiring to be surrounded by so many beautiful, historic pieces." -current employee

It's been a while since we've done introductions on here--
A native of Versailles and a long time Dallas resident, Bruno de la Croix-Vaubois has been carving a niche in the antique business since 1986 by importing high quality pieces at affordable prices. Thanks to established connections in his home country and his appreciation for fine antiques, Bruno is constantly searching for unique items to offer his American clientele of interior designers and avid collectors.
For the last decade, Bruno’s son, Chris, has been integrally involved in the day to day operations of the business. He is heavily involved with the logistics of running an antique showroom and keeps our website up to date with new pieces as they come in. He and Bruno handpick all of the items from the showroom while on buying trips to France.
Come in and say hi!
Cesar and his team of antiques restoration specialists are the lifeblood of Country French Interiors. They work hard to ensure that the quality of our pieces, as old as they are, is as high as they possibly can be! We are lucky to have him.
With our emphasis on preserving the original form and intention of each antique, our clients can rest assured that the pieces they invest in will continue to stand the test of time after having passed through our showroom.
Pretty vignettes made up of beautiful antiques. Come to our showroom to be transported back to France through the centuries.

A teaser for the lovely photoshoot we had last week with the talented for a new magazine feature. There is so much talent in the interior design industry and we are lucky to rub shoulders with some of the best. More content to come—
This painting is so much larger than it comes across in this post. Standing at a little over 9 feet wide and almost 8 feet tall, this behemoth masterpiece is also a mystery-- an illegible signature is inscribed at the bottom left of the piece. Thus, the skilled artist who was obviously dedicated to his craft (paintings of this magnitude could take an 18th-century artist over a year to complete) will sadly never get the credit he is due for such a masterpiece.
TLDR: The moral of the story is, if you're in the business of creating monumental paintings of important events like the French Revolution, you should probably neaten up your signature for the benefit of future generations.
MORE ABOUT THE PIECE:
The inscription on the rider’s flag reads “Liberte de L’Escaut 1793,” likely referring to the Battle of Raismes (also known as the Battle of Conde or St. Amand) which took place on 8 May 1793, during the Flanders Campaign of the Wars of the French Revolution. It was between the French Republican army and the Allied Coalition army, and resulted in an Allied Victory. Place this huge artwork in a hotel lobby, or on a very large wall.
Measures: 109″ W x 94″ H. DM for more information.
A lovely corner--
A pair of large, early 1920's carved beech chairs.
A mid-19th century carved walnut commode.
A hundred-year old bronze mantel clock.
A 19th-century French marble bust signed 'Adolphe'.
A set of four WW1-era bayonets.

Consider what the rococo style communicates about those who originally heralded it's arrival into the design scene in the 1730's. It's trademark bold asymmetry, swirling scrolls, and capriciously strewn motifs demonstrate a taste for the decadent. Exceptionally ornamental and playfully theatrical, the rococo style spread from France across all of Europe during the reign of Louis XV.
Importantly, it speaks to a side of humanity which went undernourished amidst the regal formality of Louis XIV's reign. Though still fabulously grand, the rise of rococo teaches us the importance of incorporating play into design, of lighthearted restlessness and animated whimsicality.
