The 2’s & 3’s class spent part of the morning exploring worms🪱🪱

The book Worm Weather by Jean Taft led their teacher, Ms. Julie, to build the wormery. Our young wormologists used their spray bottles to encourage the worms to move about, help them stay moist, and squirm in their hands. Exploring in nature, observing, and hands-on experiences bring our classroom outdoors

Field trips are a a wonderful addition to the pre-school learning experience. Our classes have been studying butterflies and what a wonder it was to enter the Butterfly Garden to enjoy the active and sensory experience of having butterflies land on our bodies. This shared experience allowed for all the students to interact with their peers and their adult helpers to increase their interest and knowledge about the insect world
