WE think it's safe to say that the W.E. ROCK GIRLS NIGHT OUT: Dueling Pianos & Fundraiser Presented by Ivy Air was a huge success! WE laughed, WE danced, WE sang, WE had the best time. Women Empowered - W.E. Royse City Tri-County Area is about women networking, building relationships and building a stronger community with other women in the community. Our annual WE ROCK event gives us that chance. Here are pictures we have from the night. WE want to see the ones you have, make sure you add them to the comments so everyone can see all of the fun that WE had!!

Let's all come together as a community tonight for a Prayer Gathering for Royse City Methodist Church. This will be held at Fellowship Church at 7pm.
We invite you to gather together to pray with and for Royse City Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 29th at 7pm. The service will be held at Fellowship Church.
Many thoughts and prayers going out for Royse City Methodist Church during this tragic time. We stand with you! ❤️
Dear Church family and community,
May 28, 2024, will go down as an extremely dark day in the lives of our congregation and community. Like many of you, I was in disbelief when I saw our beloved 120-year-old sanctuary burn to the ground in the blink of an eye. Two days before, we had an amazing morning of worship as we celebrated together in music, scripture, and fellowship.
It was also (begrudgingly) a day when you helped me celebrate my recent recognition from the Royse City Tri-Chamber of Commerce as the Community Leader of the Year. I bring that up to remind you of the words I said after Jaye and Michelle mentioned the award. The only reason why I received that award is because Royse City Methodist Church is full of community leaders. Our long 140-year history shows the commitment we hold dear to “glorify God and make disciples by serving together to be renewed and rooted in Christ.” Our lesson from Isaiah 6: 1-8 drove that point home; remember, King Uzziah died, a beloved king and the community of Israel was in shambles. Isaiah knew this and said, “Here I am, send me.”
I have received countless texts, phone calls, Facebook posts, and emails offering prayers, support, and shared grieving over the loss of our sanctuary. Now, I’m seeing the community and beyond saying, “Here we are; let us support you.” I admit it doesn’t have that same ring to it, but go with me on this, please.
Tonight at 7 p.m., a community gathering will take place at Fellowship Church in Royse City. Our community Pastoral Alliance has set up this time to help support our church and community in grieving the loss of our sanctuary. This will be a time to gather as a community in love and support and begin the healing process together.
We already have plans for worship for the next two Sundays. We will meet at the Fine Arts Center at Royse City High School at 10 a.m. I am thankful for RCISD Superintendent Dr. Amy Anderson and the board of trustees' willingness to open their school for us, and I’m looking forward to worshipping with you in this space.
As I said, I've been asked by countless people what they can do right now. Many of you have asked me as well. Here are my suggestions:
1. Please continue to support the church through your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service and your witness. We need each other now more than ever!
2. Please pray that we'll have favor as we meet with the insurance adjusters to discuss this enormous loss.
3. Please continue to pray for me and Tracy, my amazing staff, the Leadership Board, and the disciples of Jesus Christ you worship with and serve beside. Many are really hurting right now.
Thank you for the many ways you make a difference in our community because Christ has made a difference in and through us.
As always, I’m humbled and honored to be your pastor and friend. I look forward to seeing you Sunday at RCHS at 10 a.m.
Be God’s,
Pastor Chris
We hope you can make it out to support and help raise money for a great cause.
