If you signed up for the summer reading program you received a calendar of events for this Summer! Events are open to all, even if you have not signed up yet! Happening this Saturday, June 8th from 9am-12pm! Summer is here!☀️ The Cockrell Hill Public Library is having a Summer Reading Program all June and July! Join us by signing up and receiving a summer reading and activity log. Logs can be turned in anytime once completed and you will receive a goody bag! The City of Cockrell Hill congratulates all students, parents, teachers, and administrators as everyone prepares to complete the 2023-2024 school year. To acknowledge everyone’s efforts and achievements, the city is hosting a Last Day of School Year Celebration: Free Movie Night at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, May 24th at Stevie Ray Vaughan Park, 4334 W. Jefferson Blvd. Cockrell Hill, TX, 75211. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Winter break was a blast here at the library!
Thank you to all who participated in the Winter Reading Challenge and came to the Winter Storytime and Movie day!❄️ Here are some pictures from both of those events followed by pictures shared by our participants doing some activities from the reading log!
One of the activities mentioned was to visit the Christmas tree at Stevie Ray Vaughan Park 🎄
Another activity was to create some chalk art with something related to your favorite book! 📖
And lastly, participants were asked to use their imagination to decorate their own snowman! These were collected to decorate the display case in the library. ⛄️
