Meet our fifth Emerging Creative Panelist for NSSC 18, Andrea Ocampo Ortiz.co
Andrea Ocampo Ortiz is a little Q***r, Colombian ting full of passion and desire to create badass stuff. She’s in love with art, colors, music and everything in between and beyond. She’s a designer, art director and photographer and looks forward to continue learning more skills for greater creative possibilities.
Creating brings joy to her soul. She finds inspiration everywhere and seeing color combinations make her heart instantly cry tears of absolute joy - that one time at IKEA. Andrea is a huge advocate for DEI, and mental health. She strives to push for great design, and a world with more equity, kindness and representation. She currently works as a Designer at The Integer Group in Dallas, TX.
Overall, she’s worked with clients including Frito Lay, Exxon Mobil, AT&T, DART, Non-profits, Hot Tools, Revlon, to name a few. When she’s not sitting in front of her computer you can typically find her drinking some good ole apple juice, invading her tiny dog Milo’s personal space, climbing, and laughing very loudly at a Tik Tok video.
Meet our fourth Emerging Creative Panelist for NSSC 18, Jenna Dukes.
Hi, I'm Jenna. I'm currently an Art Director at PMG, where I have been working on their creative team for the past 3 years. Lol no I’m not. Outside of advertising, I’ve been writing and performing stand up comedy in Dallas, Chicago, Washington D.C and New York City, where I’m currently based. I love cheesecake and I create everything with the intention to make people feel something.

His work has been recognized by The One Club, Communication Arts, The Art Directors Club of New York, The ADDYs, The DSVC Dallas Show, AIGA's Command X, and Graphis Magazine.

Meet our second speaker for NSSC 18, Jeff.
Jeff Breazeale is a 27-year veteran of the design community and has made his mark as a creative leader representing a diverse roster of clients large and small. A Founding Partner at The Matchbox Studio, Jeff is responsible for strategic and creative oversight of all projects – but is most at home focusing on brand strategy – helping guide the direction of projects to align with the vision and goals of his clients. When he’s not focused on client work, Jeff is a hands-on business leader with a passion for building a culture employees are proud to work for, and clients are proud to partner with.
Since 1997, work by his Dallas-based company has been recognized for awards locally, nationally and internationally, and has been published in dozens of publications and on design websites far and wide. Most recently, Matchbox has worked with clients including; American Airlines, Cinemark, Fossil, The Joule Hotel, Neenah Paper, The Dallas Museum of Art, and The State Fair of Texas, who Matchbox has been proud to partner with for over 5 years, helping focus and revitalize the Lone Star State’s signature event. Matchbox is proud to support local nonprofits as well, donating time to organizations including Bonton Farms, The Deep Ellum Foundation, White Rock Lake Conservancy and The Dallas Society of Visual Communications.
Born in Maine and raised in Massachusetts, Jeff followed his family roots to Texas, where he studied design at TCU. After a brief stint cutting his teeth at VSA Partners in Chicago, Jeff returned to DFW to launch Matchbox with close friend and collaborator Liz Burnett. Matchbox built its reputation on fun, loud, sometimes irreverent design solutions, eventually capturing the attention of local companies and events, who helped grow Matchbox into the 20-employee business it is today.
Meet our first speaker for NSSC 18, Beatriz Lozano .
Beatriz is a designer, typographer, and educator exploring how technology can push typography to exist at the intersection of the physical and digital world. She teaches interaction design at Parsons and was formerly a design director at Sunday Afternoon.

Her work has been recognized by the ADC, TDC, Communication arts, and PRINT. Earlier this year she was awarded the Art Directors Club Young Gun Award, which recognizes the world’s best creatives under the age of 30. Some of her clients include ESPN, Target, and NPR.
WORKSHOP: WATERCOLOR with Patience Parks-Young

Create your own watercolor sticker.
Stickers are a popular branding and promotional asset. In this workshop, participants will practice basic and intermediate watercolor techniques while painting their own miniature illustrations. They will then learn how to digitize their artwork – scanning, editing, and preparing for production. Watercolor is a valuable skill to learn, whether you need to add a hand-crafted touch to a brand you’re designing, are illustrating for publishing, or want to start your own paper goods company. This workshop will provide a fun and relaxing environment as you explore this art style and walk out with a piece ready to print as a sticker.

As an artist, Patience specializes in watercolor painting and book cover illustration. She sells art prints, paper goods, and fabric under her brand “Patience Creative” on Etsy and Spoonflower.

WORKSHOP: FOOD STYLING & PHOTOGRAPHY with foodstylists.com
It all started with an eight-year-old and an Easy-Bake Oven.
Paige Fletcher thought she had “made it” at sixteen, when she was promoted from dishwasher to sandwich maker at a gourmet deli. As a student at Trinity University, a semester abroad in Europe opened her eyes to the vast world of food. A two-week cooking program in Italy led to the belief that a career in food was her future.
After an apprenticeship at the finest restaurant in town, Paige moved to New York to pursue her dream of cooking professionally at the Culinary Institute of America. The CIA opened doors to other culinary avenues: as a recipe developer in the test kitchen of Cooking Light Magazine, as a food editor in Chicago, and then as a lead food stylist for Meredith Publishing Corporation.
Paige started her award-winning food styling business…and has never looked back. She styles food for magazines, cookbooks, television, commercial advertising, web and packaging, focusing on inventive techniques and culinary creativity. Her local, national and international clients value her exceptional and consistent work ethic, as well as her diligent and attentive personality.
Paige travels the world in search of the most authentic recipes, the latest culinary trends and the most beautiful aesthetics, which she later brings to her family table and that of her clients. Paige resides in Dallas with her husband and two sons- the brightest lights in her life.

Meet our fifth judge for NSSC 18, Lucas Silva.
Hi, I’m Lucas Silva.
An Associate Creative Director at David Miami and also a teacher at Miami Ad School.
I’m a big fan of collaboration and a strong believer that no great stupid idea - or project - can be done alone.
During my career, I was fortunate enough to join forces with many talented people, winning several pitches - global and local - and creating work I love for some of the world’s greatest brands, being recognized in all major award festivals, such as Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Effie, LIA, and many others.
Yeah, I just patted myself on the back with this one.
I’ve been in this industry for 10 years; I started in São Paulo, Brasil - note the S - and moved to Miami with my family, where I’m constantly trying to make good work across multiple disciplines as an idea-led creative would do.
Nice to meet you.
