Take a trip down memory lane with Dan Covey ’77! He reflects on how things have changed for media production students at UD, thanks to the Roger Glass Center for the Arts.

Radio Flyers Dan Covey ’77 had his ears on campus long before he attended his first class. Growing up in the Dayton area, he was a big fan of WVUD, the commercial radio station run by UD students making waves at the time with their progressive rock format.

It's another Throwback Thursday! Built in 1869, the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception is a timeless place on campus. The chapel looks (mostly) the same from the outside as it did in 1938.

The next time you visit Brooklyn, stop by Roger Brown Way! New York Metro Alumni Community members were there as his hometown honored him at the corner of Prospect Place and Utica Avenue.

Brown played for Dayton Flyers Basketball before joining the Indiana Pacers who retired his #35 jersey.

He helped turn his family's business into a student neighborhood sensation. Now, Shady Rays ships sunglasses all over the world.

This National Sunglasses Day, we tilt our sunglasses to Dan Ratterman ’15 as one of our 10 Under 10 honorees for 2024.

Dan Ratterman ’15 While a student at UD, Dan Ratterman ’15 had a side hustle. Ratterman now is the chief operating officer at Shady Rays and the company employs more than 100 people and often ships more than 10,000 orders a day.

Summer has arrived and our Cincinnati Alumni Community took advantage! Alumni spent some time helping the Civic Garden Center at its West End Community Garden.

Here's some motivation for this Monday: Some of our Denver Alumni Community members not only enjoyed a pancake breakfast together on June 9, but they ran a 5K first! 🏃 Great job, Flyers!

It started with free burritos and stretched into a faith journey feeding those without homes and inviting Flyers to discuss their faith, relationships, aspirations and dreams.

Today, Joe Melendrez ’08 is spreading his passion for meal ministry to as many as he can.

Like others, the University of Dayton is a family thing for Steve Bosway '79. Now he's leaning into that tradition, rooted in our Marianist faith, to make a difference for other Flyers.

Fun Flyers Fact: During this year’s move-out collection, students donated more than 5,000 unopened food and beverage, cleaning and personal hygiene products to the Food4Flyers pantry and the UD Summer Appalachia Program. 🙌
