Before passing away in 2021, Phillip Magnuson was one of our very own. He played several vital roles in the vibrant musical community of the Dayton, Ohio area, including Principal Violist of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and music professor at the University of Dayton.
His piece "...From Alice" is one of several compositions of his that is inspired by literary passages. Our May 18th repertoire is all about offering a blend of tradition and innovation, and this piece fits that end beautifully.
We've said it before, and we'll say it again - this is a concert you'll want to experience for yourself! Get your tickets at https://springfieldsym.org/bela-fleck/.
