This isn't my best work, but it is the first quilt that I have made during the long summer of 2024. I never even touched my sewing machine for nearly six weeks. (my WlP) Would you like to suggest a name for this quilt? I plan to put it in FiberShow'24 in Springboro in September with an explanation.

Art of the Quote is a multimedia exhibition with artists taking their inspiration from a quote. It's going to be fun. Reception is June 8th from 4-6:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center in Springboro.
Our quilter friend, Lynn Campbell was supposed to be in this show and will be sadly missed.

Meet the artists from the "Art of the Quote" exhibit at a reception 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way. Each artist has created work inspired by quote that is personally meaningful. Coordinated by fiber artist Cathy Jeffers Art Quilts & MixeD MediA , additional artists include Charmaine Boggs , Dan Cleary , Maria Stamas Cleary , Eugene Fehskens , Jeanne Fehskens , Gregory Freeman , Bonnie K***z , Cindy Long Majusick , Pene Johnson Miller , Karen Muehlenhard and Sharon Stolzenberger. The exhibit, which includes metals, photography, textiles, woodworking and painting, is on display through June 27.Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with some extended hours on evenings and weekends or by appointment by calling 937-748-5774. It's Art in the City weekend.
I plan to be at Front Street Friday, August 4th to see how the artist interpret their view of art. In the past there have been lots of painting and photography, and lots of lovely surprises of textures and interpretive tones. It's a fun show filled will the work of artists who are seldom paired together.

Happy to be invited to Five Rivers Health Center in Dayton, Ohio today for an Open House for artists. The medical center made the commitment to have local original art on the walls. They bought several of my quilts.

Thanks, everybody for all the name suggestions that you gave me for my latest quilt. I had a hard time picking one but in the end, I selected Penelope thanks to Mark Regulinski. My quilt is hanging at Woodbourne Library during the month of March. She is drumming in the moonlight and there is an owl in the background. The quilt's formal name is Penelope's Passion. Hope you get to see it.

Hey friends I am finally leaving my house. Had a great evening with Keith Thue at drum circle, and went to see the 3x3' art show. Saw Lori Daugherty, Julie Riley, Jeanne Fehskens and Carol ONeal. Hope your cold is better Julie, and that you're not sneezing too much.

This is Tracy's new shirt with a beautiful sunflower applique sewn on it. Tracy has been sewing for years but is really becoming a wearable art master. It's so much fun to see her growth.

Winter's here and I am sewing again. Building up lots of layers for my next quilt of a woman. I like old fashion women's names. What's your favorite old time name?? You could name my next quilt.
