🥦🥬🥒Are you eating a healthy diet as you age? Good nutrition can boost immunity, fight illness-causing toxins, keep weight in check, and reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, Type-2 diabetes, bone loss, and cancer. Along with physical activity, a balanced diet can also contribute to enhanced independence as you age. 🍍🍉🍑Check out this article from the National Institute on Aging: https://rb.gy/0eu21b

👏👏👏We would like to congratulate and welcome NEW City of New Smyrna Beach City Manager, Kevin A. Cowper, to the area and to his new position. We are excited to have him meet our senior clients at our dining site and senior center and the best way to do that is to call “Bingo” on Monday or Wednesday mornings! So, the challenge has been set! We will welcome him any time! 🙌🙌🙌

🧐🧐🧐The “Wellness Wheel” provides a visual example of ways to BE and STAY well as we age through life. For seniors, it is essential to stay connected to one another and to those in their community in order to thrive. 💯

👩‍🏫Studies show that social isolation and loneliness are associated with a higher risk of dementia and other serious health problems in older adults.
