Wow! 50 years (and one day ago) we changed our name from DBJC to DBCC. So many changes have occured in our 64 year history. Now, Daytona State College (DSC) has seven campuses, 100+ programs, including bachelor's degrees, a culinary program with our one-of-a-kind beverage science lab, our free Southeast Museum of Photography, and now a Residence Hall that is scheduled to be open in 2022.

50 years ago, Daytona Beach Junior College (DBJC) became known as Daytona Beach Community College (DBCC). In 2008, the name changed once again to Daytona State College (DSC). Founded in 1957/8 the college grew from 518 students to 9,342 students in 1970 and today their student body is over 35,000.
