Congratulations to Angelica Diedrick for receiving the Aviation Safety Award for the month of June! Angelica is currently working on her Private Pilot License at ERAU Daytona Beach and received the award for promoting a positive aviation safety culture!

Congrats to Stephano for moving onto the airlines! Stephano was with the Aviation Safety Department for just over a year and did outstanding work for both the Aviation Safety Department as a Team Safety Leader and as a Flight Instructor for the Flight Department!

Presenting the Safety Short of the month “Staying Focused in the Pattern”. Repetitive flight operations makes it easier to become complacent and forget to do routine checklists and callouts. Follow the above tips to keep up situational awareness and stay safe on the ground and in the air.

Congratulations to one of the valued members of the Aviation Safety Department, Kiristan Waters for earning a spot in !

Kiristan worked as an instructor for the ERAU flight department and as a Team Safety Leader for safety department. She truly helped and supported so many students and employees through her work. She will start her training at PSA in July and will be sorely missed by our department. Congrats Kiristan and best of luck with you professional aviation career!

Congratulations Christopher Shields and Connor Cvetan for receiving the monthly Aviation Safety Award for their positive contribution to Embry-Riddle’s Aviation Safety Program. Connor and Chris are both members of the ERAU Flight Team and used there excellent aviator skills to help out a fellow pilot in distress.
