New Vision of Faith Ministries, PHC
NVOFM is in Decatur, GA and part of the Pure Holiness Churches of God. Bishop Eugene Smith, Pastor
Tonight, I am discussing the three types of seasons; a special time, the right time, and a ra**ng time.
Today, I preached from the subject, “The Evidence is Important” 2nd Corinthians 4:8-10.
Paul Is saying thou we have trouble, we’re detressed, and perplexed, but we are not in despair, persecuted, but not forsaken, cast down but not destroyed.
We have three enemies. They are Internal, external, and Infernal.
We need faith that God will bring us out of our internal issues, externally, deal with people who are against us, and infernally, overcome the fiery dots of Satan in this world.
Finally, the evidence is important as we show the world that Jesus is made manifest in our lives by overcoming our trials and tribulations.
God Bless You,
Bishop Eugene

Today, I preached from the subject, “Jesus Completes Us”, Colossians 2:8-10.
Paul declared that Jesus is the head of the Godhead bodily.
Paul is saying, we once were members of Adam's humanity. This means Adam’s extended body being born in sin and shaped Ininiquity.
But when we except Jesus as our personal Savior there is a real supernatural union in the Spirit, where we are truly members of Christ's physical body.
Finally, Jesus was human but yet He was Divine, therefore, He completes us In every way.
God Bless You,
Bishop Smith

This is part two of Seasons in your Life. We must know the season that we are in to be be effective in it
Today a son of the church Elder Leon Armond ministered the Word of God. He spoke from the subject, “ Friendship”Luke 5:16-24.
He said, that a friend is someone who gives assistance to another and they are faithful.
A friend won’t talk about you and they won’t put your business in the street.
We must assist our brothers and sisters during their time of need.
Lastly, Jesus is our friend. He said to gain a friend you must first show yourself friendly.
He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Jesus laid down his life for us that we may have a way and a right to the tree of life.
God Bless You,
Bishop Smith

Tonight is the beginning of this series called, " Seasons In You Life". We must know that we have seasons in our lives and we must get through them to get to the next season.
Today, I preached from the subject, Your Season is Coming, Galatians 6:9-10.
This means that we should not give up on doing good, even if we don't see immediate results.
We must be impatient.
We go through one season to the next. In each season we must past the test to get to the next season.
Finally, don’t be weary in your well doing. Don’t give up, don’t give in, and don’t give out because your season is coming.
God Bless You,
Bishop Smith

I am ending this series tonight on how to have Pride the right way. I hope it has been a blessing for you. There's a right way to have pride and there's a wrong way to have pride. Make sure your pride is right.
Today, I preached from the subject, “We’re Better Together”, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.
Solomon is saying that two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
He is putting together different variations of life to give us a clear understanding that if we live alone we will fail on our own.
However, if we work together, if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not easily broken.
Therefore, we are better together.
When we the Saints of God work together, help each other, and bear each other’s burdens we become united in our Faith.
And, we allow the spirit which is the Holy Ghost to lead us, guide us, and teach us.
Then, the three fold cord is stronger in the Lord.
God Bless You,
Bishop Smith

Today,I taught from the subject “Your Ambition”, 1st Thessalonians 4:11.
This should be your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands.
Paul is simply telling the Thessalonians and us to be ambitious about the work of the Lord, care about ourselves, and esteem and honor others.
Being ambitious, is not wrong, but it’s what we esteem or honor that can be a problem.
Finally, make sure your ambitions are to live a peaceful life, do not meddle in other’s business, and work with your hands.
For we know that our work in the Lord will not be in vain.
God Bless You,
Bishop Smith

Tonight, I am continuing with #12 of the signs of a person who is living a prideful life. It is called spiritual pride and I am talking about it from a natural and spiritual perspective.
Today,I taught from the subject “Keep your focus on the Lord” 1st Corinthians 15:58.
It says, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Paul is simply saying to be stedfast be firmly fixed in your belief, determination, loyalty, faithfulnesss and be unyielding to be moved or diverted from your faith In God.
If we do that the benefits of being stedfast is that you will have a peace of mind, you will be able to live free from guilt and shame, and you will have nothing to hide from anyone.
Keep your focus on the Lord and the church.
God Bless You,
Bishop Smith

Tonight, I am finishing the 12th sign of a prideful life. It is called having spiritual pride. This is when people feel superior to others who are believers in the Lord.
Today was part two of a two part series in 1st Kings 18:21-40. My subject was My God verses your gods.
Elijah challenged the 850 prophets of Baal and the prophets of groves to call on their gods to bring down fire.
They called out to their god from morning till noon, but they didn’t hear a sound. They went through the extremity of cutting themselves and throwing themselves on the altar but they didn’t get an answer from their gods.
Elijah reconstructed the altar three times and called on the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to send down fire on the burnt offering.
The fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, He is the God; the Lord, He is the God.
Finally, all of the prophets died at Mt. Carmel at the brook of Kishon because they had committed the highest crime against the state and the people by introducing idolatry and bringing down God's judgments upon the land.
Don’t be the cause of your demise and destruction. Know your God, believe, and trust in Him.
God Bless You,
Bishop Smith

From the Bishop’s Desk:
Good day, Last Sunday, was Father’s Day. I preached from the subject “A Real Father “ Romans 4:16-17. Paul said that Abraham was the father of us all. He was saying that through Abraham’s faith and obedience to God to leave his father’s house and go to another country and land he became the Father of Faith of us all. That faith that Abraham had blessed him, his family, and his seed. We are of that seed of faith and we can move to another level of Faith in God. To all fathers, it doesn’t matter what you have gone through, been through, or have done, you can still have the God given faith to make your life better for you, your family, and others.
God Bless You,
Bishop Smith
