"This GO CART was a build started in 1998. Then, in 1999 wished to give it to a friend of ours grandson after finding out he was diagnosed with Perthes at the age of 5. Perches is a rare childhood disease where blood flow is cut off to tge femur head causing the bone to die. This caused him to be wheelchair bound for a year. Over the years he has had a successful recovery. With his health success, we feel Take Jake is a better give for charity"

Last week we had the honor to attend MSU annual scholarship dinner. Since it's creation, we have been able to award 9 scholarships!! Majors have been Nursing, social work, integrative health and psychology! Several have moved on to graduate studies!
Thank you all who support our annual car show and help make a brighter future for Colorado! All of these students are giving back to thier community in big ways! If you know someone who is attending MSU, have them look into the Jake Thompson Gift of Life Scholarship! Recipients are chosen by the university only.

15 years.....how can it be 15 years since I last hugged you, kissed you on the forehead one last time, and told you how proud I was to be your mom. A mamas heart never heals. It is with God's grace I carry on. I see your smile and hear your laugh everyday. I take comfort in how you lived your life and how much life you lived in 21 years......not to mention the difference you made along the way!! In your death, as in your life, thinking of others and making a difference , giving the gift of life to 5 others.
We will continue to love and honor you by helping others just as you would have wanted us too! Love you my son, see you on the other side! Xoxo.

WAGON WEDNESDAY went to a whole new level with this year's fleet!! Shout out to all the wagon builders that made this happen! Take Jake supplied the wagons and you guys brought the magic, imagination and artistry!! The end result was amazing!!! Residents and staff alike were in aww of your talents! ....they were sooo thankful and beyond appreciative of all your time, talent and passion! Every single one was loved and the kids enjoyed taking them ALL for a ride! The smiles on everyone and the joy these wagons bring is truly a gift and is priceless! From the bottom of our hearts. THANK YOU!!

We had the honor and pleasure to represent the entire Take Jake community yesterday at Brent's Place. To say that together we made a difference is an understatement!! We presented a check for $25,000.00 on behalf of ALL of you who have supported us by buying a hot dog, raffle ticket, auction item, and thru generous donations! NONE of this would be possible without you! The impact this gift will have on the families Brent's Place serves is immeasurable.
