There’s classroom time and kitchen time for apprentice chefs at Rocky Mountain Chefs of Colorado. Brains on / Hands on!

RMCC alumni work in many of the top restaurants in town. And some, like Chef Geiger, returned to coach today’s apprentice chefs!

What’s a “Sponsoring House?” It’s a way for RMCC apprentice chefs to earn while they learn! It’s a local restaurant, resort or kitchen helping train tomorrow’s top chefs!

Our program goes beyond food. It's also about time management, discipline, and sometimes, ice! Pictured here is world famous Chef Pizzuto. Chef is not only known for his culinary prowess but also his ability to carve ice sculptures. He's teaching our Apprentices how they can carve ice and incorporate ice as a medium in their dishes.

Our Apprentices learn from the best AND get hands-on experience in the classroom. That's in addition to the real-life training they get while working at various Sponsor Houses. Our Apprentices, Alumni, and Instructors agree it's by far the best way to learn how to cook!

Thank you Chef for joining us in class! Your experience and personal journey through food is filled with passionate determination. As apprentices learn and grow, the more they are exposed to the better!

Each year, we celebrate our graduates at an Endowment Dinner. Check out this picture, featuring our instructors Chef Geiger and Chef Sever. It was in 2016 that Chef Geiger earned her title as Chef! She now works with our 3rd-year students as our Pastry Instructor.

You're watching mentoring in action. Executive Chef Jessica Rosales is working with her Apprentice, Dee, who works under her tutelage at Longmont Colorado's Balfour Senior Living. Our program has a deep-rooted community with our Apprentices working and learning in kitchens all over the Denver metro.
