•• PASC Detroit Gallery: 9301 Kercheval Ave, STE 2, Detroit ••

The title, 𝓘𝓶𝓪𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓜𝓪𝓹𝓼, pays homage to Sherri’s painting, recently acquired by Cranbrook Art Museum. It expands on both artists shared journey documenting connections, communities, and experiences. Join us in exploring these layered landscapes of imagination and connection!

IMG 4: Sherri Bryant “Stained Glass Color Piece, 2024, pen marker paper, 30 x 22 in. This image features an abstract, stained-glass-inspired artwork consisting of a grid-like pattern of numerous small, irregularly shaped panels filled with vibrant colors and intricate, geometric designs. The overall composition has a mosaic-like quality, with the individual panels creating a visually striking, kaleidoscopic effect. The colors used are bold and contrasting, ranging from warm hues like orange and yellow to cooler tones of purple, blue, and green with black outlines.

Join us on Thursday, November 7th, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the PASC Detroit Gallery for the launch of 𝓘𝓶𝓪𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓜𝓪𝓹𝓼, our debut two-person exhibition with works by Sherri Bryant and Robert Duncombe.

🗓️ Exhibition Dates: November 7 - November 30, 2024
📍 PASC Detroit Gallery: 9301 Kercheval Ave, STE 2, Detroit

Robert Duncombe’s work may look like stained glass or aerial shots of farmland, but each piece is a tapestry of interlinked, hand-holding geometric shapes—a visual “community” of people. In his eyes, each figure represents artists, studio staff, and the surrounding community, creating intricate worlds that are both personal and universal.

Sherri Bryant’s artworks take viewers on a journey from broad to intimate, with richly patterned, map-like abstractions that evoke cellular structures. Starting with referential symbols, Sherri’s work reveals a hidden universe that emerges within her vivid, woven layers of color and form.
