Yesterday, Pastor Andrew preached a great word about Nehemiah and how we too can embrace prayer in action in today’s world.

Prayer as a foundation – Nehemiah‘s first response was to turn to God in prayer, seeking guidance and strength. And our world today, it’s important to remember to pause, pray and seek God‘s wisdom, but also to be quiet and listen to our Father’s‘s voice; to be intentional on listening and waiting for a response from Him.

Taking initiative – after praying, Nehemiah took bold steps to address the situation. We too must become a people who are bold enough, because God has called us by name.

as you start your week off, be intentional about your prayer, and pray how Nehemiah prayed. Giving God all his worthy titles: “Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments…”, and be willing to be silent to hear from Him.

Remember this, Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
