Am I going to stuff as many photos as I can into 10 frames? Absotootley. As most of you know, I’m terrible at posting sessions anywhere CLOSE to real time (can my other photographers relate?). This family gave me all the warm and fuzzy vibes and it was fantastic.

I’m not going to sugar coat it — newborn sessions with siblings always makes me a little nervous. There’s a new baby in the house and sometimes the older siblings have a hard time adjusting. Luckily for us, little M was just obsessed with her baby sister. 🤎🤍

That feeling when you’re only two days away from vacation… 🌴☀️🌊

Our family will be loading up the SUV and driving to the sunshine state in a couple days and we couldn’t be more excited! Are we all excited about the drive though? Not so much. Send me positive vibes, guys!

On another note, I’ve been getting so many questions about milestone and one year sessions! Yes I offer them! Depending on what setting you’re looking for, we can do them at my studio in DG or outside. Typically these sessions are just for the baby but you can add on a few shots of the family for an additional fee. DM me to learn more!

One of my top tips for successful photo sessions is finding a photographer you love and sticking with them. I get to know you and your kids, and they get to know me! Seeing a familiar face makes everything go smoother. Bonus? Everyone knows what to expect and we can start making memories right away. 🫶🏼

When the family you’re working with loves plants and Paw Patrol, you know it’s going to be a good match. 😂 , thank you for welcoming me and for letting me get my baby snuggles in. 😍

I get many questions around when to have the newborn session and my go-to answer is when the baby is around 10-14 days old. Does that mean you absolutely have to do the photos in that timeframe? No! If you need more time to recover, get into a routine, or if a sibling is sick, I GOT YOU. The photos will still be incredible and capture your family just as you are. ✨📸

When your client’s kids make you question if they might in fact be even cuter than your own kids…

EVERYONE RELAX, I’m kidding. 😂 but seriously, these brothers were so incredibly sweet (and so stinking cute). I couldn’t get over how easy and fun this session was! And this location? 🤌🏼💋

And who would’ve thought she’d go into labor and deliver their twins just one week later… ✨

Such a sweet couple and so happy for them to welcome their two little ones!

Side note, I’m dyinggg to take more maternity photos! If you’re expecting, reach out to me ASAP! Maternity photos are best taken when mama is around 28-32 weeks along and I also offer a discounted rate on my newborn sessions when a maternity session is booked. Let’s make it happen, mamas! 🤰🏼

If you’re wondering when the best time is to take your maternity photos, I always recommend between 28-34 weeks. You want the bump to be bumpin’, but not too much so you’re uncomfortable during the photos! 😍

It’s newborn season, y’allllllll! If you’re expecting and looking for a newborn photographer, look no further.

I have a couple options when it comes to newborn photos — in the comfort of your own home, or my studio in Downers Grove. If you’re loving the idea of taking photos in the baby’s nursery or your bedroom, choose your home. If you’d like to get out of the house (and/or not worry about tidying up), or perhaps your home doesn’t have the best light, choose the studio.

I only take on a handful of newborn sessions each month, so get on my calendar while you can! 🗓️
