Peter Michael Martin's ongoing search and rescue efforts continue to need the support of volunteers.

Peter Michael Martin remains listed as a missing person, and tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20, the Fond du Lac Community and the family of Peter are asking for volunteers for help in the ongoing search of our missing relative.

Volunteer Request:
When: Wednesday, March 20, 2024
Where: Brookston Community Center, Adult Side.

To aid in their search efforts, all volunteers are provided fluorescent yellow vests, gloves, whistles, and broom sticks to help them comb through brush or other terrain. S*x trafficking happens everywhere. Your community isn’t an exception.
The (2019 and 2022) Minnesota Student Survey asked youth if they have ever traded s*x, or s*xual activity to receive money, food, drugs, alcohol, a place to stay, or anything else.
“1.3% (At least 4,600) youth in Minnesota, who were high-school aged in 2022, have traded s*x.”
https://nursing.umn.edu/research/research-projects/minnesota-youth-s*x-trading-myst-project/myst-project-2022-data-brief

“This is likely an underestimate because MSS is completed by students enrolled in school. It does not include youth who were not in school on the day of the survey or who did not attend school. Young people may also be reluctant to answer “yes” for many reasons, including shame or fear.”

Minnesota Safe Harbor Regional Navigator Region Breakdown:
1.8% of youth in Northwest Minnesota said yes.
2.2% of youth in North Central Minnesota said yes.
1.5% of youth in Northeast Minnesota said yes.
1.1% of youth in West Central Minnesota said yes.
1.5% of youth in East Central Minnesota said yes.
1.2% of youth in West Metro Minnesota said yes.
1.1% of youth in East Metro Minnesota said yes.
1.2% of youth in Southwest Minnesota said yes.
1.4% of youth in South Central Minnesota said yes.
1.3% of youth in Southeast Minnesota said yes.
This is a problem in every community.
1 child/youth impacted by exploitation is 1 TOO MANY.
