Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) has reduced its teacher vacancies to 20 just a week before the 2024-2025 school year starts, marking a significant improvement from previous years. The district has actively recruited through job fairs, job boards, and university partnerships, hiring over 1,700 new employees, including 98% of its student teachers from last year. Additionally, GCPS has fully staffed all bus driver positions, ensuring reliable transportation for 135,000 students.

Domonique recently had the wonderful opportunity to engage with students at Crews Middle School as a business coach, guiding discussions on finances and financial literacy. Collaborating with the amazing teacher, Mr. Hames, always brings Domonique joy. Today, Domonique received letters from some of the students in the mail, which was a delightful surprise. It was a true joy for Domonique to open these letters and realize the impact made on the community, despite the onset of summer.
