During our REV UP (Register, Educate, Vote, and Use your Power) Event earlier this month, we heard concerns around finding transportation to the polls. Thank you DTA for recognizing how important voting is and helping reduce barriers in the Duluth community!

On November 1, 2024, 12-1pm, The Journey of Your Ballot, hosted by the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office is hosting their final Lunch & Learn prior to election day. This time will be used to take a behind-the-scenes look at what happens to your vote once it's submitted. We’ll cover the journey of absentee ballots, and the steps election officials take to ensure accurate results after the polls close. Whether you're a new voter, an experienced one, or simply interested in the voting process, this session will provide valuable insights into how your vote is handled with care, transparency, and security every step of the way. In collaboration with REV UP MN, members from the SAM Metro group be hosting the ACT Candidate Forum on Thursday October 24th from 6:00-8:00PM at the Wilder Foundation Center!

Join for a disability led candidate forum centered around disability. Share your stories with current and future leaders to help impact change for the disability community! There will also be a special performance from the ACT side-by-side chorus. You won't want to miss it!

The Northeast Minnesota Positive Supports Community of Practice presented at the St. Louis County Health and Human Service Conference last week to share about their work.

A Community of Practice (CoP) is a group of individuals who share a common interest, profession, or passion and come together to learn, share knowledge, and collaborate. These groups typically form around shared goals or challenges, and members interact regularly to develop expertise, solve problems, and innovate within their field.

In other words, it's a group of people who regularly meet to exchange tips, learn new skills, and make improvements by working together!
