It was a perfect morning to wake up, unzip the tent and find this beautiful little leaf just hanging out with the dew drops. It's the simple things.

Keep Calm and Chive On - Isn't that what the kids are saying these days? Chives from the Machmer garden in Duluth, Minnesota.

I just had to share this little guy/girl with you all. I found him swinging from a cherry tree and helped him down for my own selfish photography desires. :D He was a great model!

Pay What it's Worth to You!

Now until December 23rd, 2014, I will be selling prints at base printing prices plus shipping if you are out of the local Duluth/Superior area (otherwise I will hand deliver!).
My only request is that you then pay me over and above printing prices what the photo is worth to you above that base price! It’s a little unorthodox, I know.

I feel like it could be a really interesting experience to let the buyer choose what she or he may want to spend. I don’t know what my photos are worth to others. I only know “standard rates for specific sizes” and while that is very important for people that make their living selling their work, I’m only at the beginning. I would love to make my living this way but first I need you to tell me if that’s even possible! You are the one that will or will not buy and you are the one that will tell me what a piece is worth to you!

So, part experiment and part gift to you for helping me travel down this path!

It was quite a lovely day with very little cloud cover. I'm a fan of clouds - they always add something special to photographs but reflective photography is also an enjoyment of mine. Especially when it indicates that spring is coming!

We took a trip up to Bluefin Bay a few weeks back. It was a wonderful four day weekend with some exciting photo ops!
I have never seen a moose in person in my life...but as we drove up the Sawbill and the Grade we saw three! A bull and then later I captured a cow and calf in a swamp. So exciting!
