Dear Members and Friends of the Nordic Center,
It’s that time of the year when we ask you to RENEW your membership. In order to keep our doors open and continue our exciting programming, your support for the Nordic Center is more crucial than ever.
Here are some reasons why:
Our membership fees have not increased since we began our
membership program in 2018, yet our operational and program expenses continue to rise. Rent alone has doubled since 2021. Now more than ever, a major portion of our expenses need to be met by loyal membership support.
- As the pandemic winds down, many funders are moving away from their support for small non-profit organizations such as the Nordic Center. We were able to stay nimble and vibrant due to successful grant writing initiatives during recent pandemic years. This source of income is no longer one we can rely on.
- To meet these challenges, the Nordic Center has set a 2023-2024
goal of doubling our membership numbers. We can reach this goal if you renew your membership, upgrade your membership to a sponsorship level, invite friends to join and/or buy gift memberships for loved ones.
- The rewards for membership are many. Check out our
programming plans for the coming year at the Nordic Center’s website, Facebook and Instagram pages. You will find dates and times of exhibits, workshops, concerts, folk dances, language classes, author talks, and the monthly book club. Members always receive a personal invitation to major events. The enclosed brochure also lists dates of 2024 art exhibits.
RENEW NOW! The first 50 memberships we receive will be
entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate from one of our
community partners. Thank you for your past membership. Please help us reach our membership goal and keep the rewards of the Nordic Center experience available for our broader community.
Sincerely,
Nordic Center Board of Directors
