We had an unforgettable time at the Golden Graduates Weekend, welcoming back nearly 30 alumni from the Class of ‘74 and earlier! 🎓✨
Our journey began with an exploration of The Old Fort, where Beth LaShell shared captivating stories about the history of the area and the College. On our campus tours, we marveled at the incredible innovations and changes happening up at the Mesa since 1974. The Center of Southwest Studies curated a nostalgic collection of memorabilia that took us all down memory lane.
The weekend was highlighted by a heartfelt reception and champagne toast with Interim President Steve Schwartz and Provost Mario Martinez. We capped it off with a breathtaking ride on the Durango to Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, enjoying spectacular views of the surging Animas River, great company, and a lovely picnic lunch in Cascade Canyon.
Thank you to all who attended! It was a joy to reconnect, and we can’t wait to see you at future alumni events. 🌟
Happy June! 🌻
