Modified hours for spring break begin tomorrow! Catch us Monday to Friday from 11am-1pm over break!
Sensory hours have been going strong for nearly two months already!
Sensory hours stem from student feedback regarding the overstimulating and brightly lit atmosphere of the weight room. In response, have set aside two afternoons per week to reduce agitating stimuli and potential for sensory overload.
Features of sensory hours include a reduction of overhead light, silenced music speakers, reduced noice, and a somber tone out of respect for others. If you enjoy these hours or have feedback on how they could be improved, feel free to use our suggestion box at the front desk and/or the departmental feedback form found through the link in our bio.
So many classes to chose from! Start your week off right with Functional Fitness at 8, Lunch Crunch and Flow at 12:15, or Rave at 5 tomorrow!

Happy Friday! Who else is getting pumped on the returning FLC student life community? As academia advances in the realms of communicative sport (in contrast to that of a competitive and individualized nature), we are able to make several profound conclusions:
-higher subjective ratings of community support and integration will predict lower fatiguability and higher perceived energy (Davis and Cohen, 2021).
-higher ratings following the activity of homeostatic function, satisfaction, wellbeing, and health (Hawkley, 2010).
-increased performance due to a lower perceived fatigue rate when experiencing camaraderie, when planking with another person, an average 24% increase in time endured was found (Ford, 2011). An additional study conducted at Kansas State University supposed working out accompanied by others increases workout time and intensity by up to 200%.
Fortunately at the SLC, we are extremely adamant in regards to community building and diverse student integration. If you are looking to start any sort of fitness routine with others, stay tuned for our updated class schedules, events, and intramural sports.
Goodmorning! Hope your week is filled with enjoyable activities fulfilling your wellness goals. You may have noticed our facility has been ramping up with new programs and participants for the upcoming semester. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for our updated classes, intramural schedules, special events, and monthly informative clinics !
