Traveling tonight on I-195 West or East in East Providence or Providence? 🚙🛻🚐 Be prepared for traffic delays and/or people illegally stopping on the Interstate to watch the fireworks display.🤔

🚨🚨TRAFFIC ALERT FOR THIS EVENING/INDIA POINT FIREWORKS🚨🚨

Expect heavy traffic and seek alternate routes if traveling near the East Providence/Providence waterfront area. Areas include Waterfront Drive, Veterans Memorial Parkway, Watchemoket Square, and the Henderson Bridge onramp/roundabout.

Officers will be directing traffic in the area. Following the conclusion of the fireworks, all traffic on Waterfront Drive will be forced north towards Massasoit Avenue and the Henderson Bridge. See the map for further.

Parking on Waterfront Drive will be allowed on the northbound side of the road only. Signage has been posted. Parking violators face ticketing and towing.

Waterfront Drive at Mauran Avenue, Warren Avenue, and Valley Street connector will be closed following the fireworks. No southbound traffic will be allowed. Please obey traffic officers to help alleviate traffic as quickly as possible.
