Miss Mari's Preschool
Preschool for children ages 3 to 5 years with an emphasis in social and emotional development, kinde
This morning as I sent out our preschool open house information I couldn’t help but thinking how many amazing families we have coming through! Already people starting texting introducing themselves, the alums start fostering community and belonging and it’s awe inspiring. The little kids sure do make a big impact! We have a couple afternoon spots available if you would like to share with someone you know. Thank you 💕
End of the year preschool picnic!! Year 12 done for me and year 5 for Miss Jen! We are so lucky, blessed, grateful for all of these amazing preschoolers and families! Every year we talk about how it’s like we hit the jackpot and they feel like family. Their binders are just a fun way to capture some of the growth and memories over the year. While some proof is tangible like their first day and last day drawing and name writing are there, there’s also growth in confidence, friendship skills, empathy, fine motor, large motor, emotional regulation, taking turns, helping others, taking care of our classroom and toys, routines, creativity, and so many other ways that can’t be measured as easily but equally important life skills. I am so proud of these kids and I hope their next teacher knows the treasure they are and helps keep that learning sparkle ✨ alive!!
Pancake 🥞 & Pajama Day!! “If You Give a Pig a Pancake” activities and story! Much like the pig, these preschoolers wanted extras like some syrup, whip cream, fruit, and extra play time to go with it 😉. Thank you to each class for helping with the pancakes, they had full bellies.
Every once in a while, there’s a photo that just stops me right in my tracks and makes me so grateful for this moment. This week there were so many. My preschool families each gifted our classroom something for teacher appreciation week. A couch (fort style), bookshelf, books, and some pillows and a blanket. These kids have enjoyed it so much! My old preschoolers (aka teen daughters) helped me one night rearrange and create some new spaces for the kids! Sometimes you just need fresh eyes and we have loved it. In the books they donated they wrote little notes or their name and it’s been so special. We really are spoiled, cared for, and loved by all of these amazing families in our program. Last week I got the privelage to visit a child development class in our school district. I got to share my love for teaching and how the families make our community so great!
I have been asked to share the contact for our face painter at our preschool reunion!! Here she is!! Samanta does an amazing job, we had so many smiling faces!!
Our 2024 Preschool Graduates 🎓! What a wonderful group of kiddos we are sending off to kindergarten. Their teachers are going to be lucky to have them. Half of our students graduating are long term families that graduate out and they will always have a big piece of our hearts 💕!

Fire Station Field Trips 🚒🧯🔥 !!! Thank you Wenatchee Valley Fire Department for showing us the “fire house” and showing us what great community helpers you are!!
When you ask your preschool families for large boxes to make a rocket ship 🚀 and they deliver 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽!
We love community partnerships ! I asked one of my preschoolers why we were going and she said, “to bring them joy ♥️!” I was going to say decorate Valentine’s Day cookies but that was a better answer.

One of our favorite things we get to do is celebrate birthdays 🥳 in preschool! They wear a birthday crown and we get to sing to them during snack time while sharing a treat together!
January fun! Learning about the Arctic and Anarctic during this cold month. Indoor snowball fights (pretend ones) when the temperature is too cold to go outside. Painting, playing, counting, sorting, fishing, and friends make this gloomy weather more enjoyable. We also are working on goals and how to be a good friend. Our alphabet book keeps us busy practicing writing our names, letter of the day, and some art is consistently a part of our routine now. We keep Miss Mari and Miss Jen laughing and bring them joy!
