Title: Clothed In Christ: The Priestly Garments
Text: Exodus 28-29; Exodus 39; Numbers 3-4; Leviticus 8

What does it mean to be a priest? Peter calls us "a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into...light." (1 Pet. 2:9)

God chose and separated the family of Aaron, of the tribe of Levi, as priests to stand between His holy Presence and the sinful nation of Israel, to minister and to offer sacrifice on their behalf.

The priestly garments symbolize the various duties of the priesthood, all fulfilled in the Person of Christ. How, then, does this priesthood apply to us?
