The El Paso Zoological Society is the support organization for the El Paso Zoo. Founded in 1963, the Zoological Society is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by local donors. We had such a great time at yesterday’s special press conference! Like itself, we were surrounded by INCREDIBLE non-profits that work tirelessly to make a positive impact in our community. ❤️
We’d like to thank the team for all that they do to support the over 200 local non profits and a BIG thank you to for their matching fund support!
With that additional funding we will be able to provide MORE students with the educational opportunity to explore and learn about the value of wildlife while visiting the Zoo! 🦧🦒

BIG thank you to our friends for helping us secure Mulberry browse for our animals here at the Zoo! 🤩
Browse is any type of tree limb/branch, shrub or leaf that can be consumed by our animals.🌱 Many of our animals like our Giraffes, Zebras, Kudu, Elephant and others really enjoy it! And as you can see, our Giraffes went wild over it. ❤️

We had a blast spending time with our friends and clearing out areas were the dogs can play, run and roll around to enjoy their day!😍
It was amazing to see all the work their team puts in everyday to make a paw-sitive impact on our four legged friends. 🐕❤️🐈⬛

The El Paso Zoo Society would like to express our immense gratitude to UMC Healthcare Partners Border Pediatrics for their assistance in providing the with the DTaP vaccine to Zaini, our baby male orangutan. The vaccine was given to Zaini by El Paso Zoo Veterinarian Dr. Kaitlyn, and a picture of the procedure was delivered to the Border Pediatrics team by El Paso Zoo Society's CEO, Renee Neuert. 🦧
This vaccine marks a significant milestone in Zaini's growth and development. We are honored to have the support of such a dedicated and compassionate healthcare partner. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Border Pediatrics for their professionalism and commitment. Thanks again for all your help! ❤️

A BIG thank you to Walmart at 7101 Gateway Blvd and Walmart at 5631 Dyer street, Sprouts at 9801 Gateway Blvd and Sprouts at 655 Sunland park Dr, Lowes at 4531 Woodrow Bean Transmountain and Beth El Bible Church off Montana for the INCREDIBLE donation of pumpkins for all our animals! Pumpkins were used as animal enrichment on both Saturday and Sunday! 🎃 We hope you had a wild time seeing our animals enjoy their pumpkins and treats! 🤩

Picture it! El Paso Zoo. 2021. All the the animals receive perfectly round, delicious pumpkins for animal enrichment at a yearly event. They tear them. They eat them. They smash them. The kids and families love it. That event was, Boo at the Zoo.🎃😂

Olivia the opossum and Tatu the armadillo are enjoying their snuffle matts thanks to ! 🤩
Their wonderful team of keepers hid some food inside the snuffle mat and these two cuties have to go sniffing and digging for it! This is part of the daily animal enrichment that all our animals get! And have you seen anything cuter!?❤️
