Great Mexican buffet and wonderful guest speakers, Adair Margo and Holly Cobb, Executive Director of Tom Lea Institute. They told us great stories about Tom Lea and his art. And our past President Ginger Taylor and her daughter Gigi came all the way from Johnson City, TN, to have lunch with us.

We have a return speaker, Adair Margo, founder of the Tom Lea Foundation. She’ll be speaking on the topic of the Tom Lea Trail.
Menu is a Mexican Buffet. Red Enchiladas, Green Enchiladas, Flautas, Rice, Beans, salsa, sour cream, warm tortillas, Green Salad with dressings, Raspberry Sorbet, coffee, iced, tea, water. Cost is $20.

ROWC Christmas Luncheon and White Elephant raffle. We had so many wonderful gifts donated for the raffle and one member donated Waterford crystal glasses. Merry Christmas to you all.
Wonderful business meeting today and Operation Santa Claus donations. ROWC presented a check to them and lots of toys. It should help several children have a better Christmas. Thank you all for your generosity. We also voted on the new Board Members for next year. Julie Pitt remains President, Anne Parks will be Vice President, Maria Childress is Corresponding Secretary, Gertrud Swager, Recording Secretary, and Meredith Kelley is Treasurer. Members Krystyna Robbins brought some of her art and Kay Gilbert brought some of her Christmas decorations for sale at our Holiday Boutique. Beautiful things for our Christmas holiday gift giving.
Lunch at the Fisher House with Retired Officers’ Wives’ Club. A cash donation and takeout containers were presented to them today.
Retiree Appreciation Day at the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center. Very nice crowd.
We got to meet another local artist today. John MacKenzie joined us for lunch and brought some of his paintings for us to enjoy. Thank you, Krystyna Robbins, for sharing your friend with us. Lunch was a delicious Mexican food buffet. See you next month at the Fisher House by old William Beaumont Army Medical Center.
August meeting with donations for Armed Services YMCA Jr Enlisted Family Center. ROWC always does a great job with contributions.
Bingo anyone? Brunch and Bingo is very popular with our ladies. Lots of great prizes and fun times.
June 2023 luncheon honoring our military hero husbands. It was a wonderful day celebrating the men we love and support.
May 16 we celebrated Mother’s Day with our friends at the centennial banquet and conference center. President Julie Pitt presented yellow and multicolored roses to all the members. We shared our most interesting duty stations and military life experiences.
Krystyna Robbins, local artist, talked about her recent trip to Poland and showed some of her Plein Air pieces. We also honored our callers. It was a very nice luncheon today.
Retired Officers Wives Club is having luncheon next Tuesday, April 18, at the Centennial Club, at noon. Local Artist Krystyna Robbins will be guest speaker. Please let me know if you are coming.

February 21, 2023, recognizing Past Presidents today, Judy Stone, Meredith, Pam Mania, Anne Parks, and Juliette Pitt, with beautiful white roses. Guest speaker COL Brett Venable, Commander of William Beaumont Army Medical Center, spoke about changes and improvements to the facilities here at Fort Bliss. It was very informative and reminded us of one of the many benefits of our spouses service to our country. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
February lunch is February 21. WBAMC Commander, COL Brett Venable, will be our guest speaker, giving us updated information about the new facilities. Please let me know by Friday, noon, Feb 17, if you are coming. Dues for new year are also due if you haven’t paid yet.

Merry Christmas to all. We had a wonderful lunch with great food, Connie Sullivan dancing for us and wonderful friends. And our white elephant raffle had lots of awesome gifts.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Can you believe it is December already?! Please note that the luncheon is a week earlier this month and please bring spouses , other family members and friends as your guest.
Date: Dec. 13th, social hour beginning 12 noon, dine at 12:30 and program begins at 1:00 pm
Menu: London broil, honey glazed carrots, scalloped potatoes, strawberry and spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing, rolls and butter. For dessert red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. Coffee, iced tea and water. Cost is $20.
Program: Connie Sullivan, Spanish dancer will entertain us with 2 dances. We will also continue the White Elephant gift fundraiser so please bring your gently used gift items. Everyone gets one free ticket and there will be more available to purchase. It's a fun time!

Retired Officer’s Wive’s Club members had a wonderful tour and lunch at the Fort Bliss Fisher house today. Alice Coleman and her staff, Nell and Charmaine, welcomed us with such hospitality today. If you aren’t familiar with the Fisher House, please find out more. The rooms are lovely and the whole house is so comfortable. It’s a wonderful benefit for those military families in need of a home away from home.
