In this 2023-2024 year, Texas Rising received remarkable members. These members have contributed significantly to voter engagement and to projects, such as the Texas Constitutional Amendments Forum, Find My Political Match, Protect & Respect: Safe S*x Practices. These projects have helped UTEP students but also El Pasoans across the county. As they finish their academia journey, they are going to embark in amazing goals, such as interning in Washington, D.C., attending graduate school, and attending law school. 🎓🧡💙⛏️

This week we were invited by to participate in their We Will Resist Summit to learn about the policies and outlook of immigration reform in our state! 📝🤠

Today we participated in a book panel hosted by to discuss new book which focuses on what politics is and the importance of becoming involved. 😄🤙

😎📣 Are you a passionate advocate for social change and justice? Texas Rising is looking for dynamic student leaders in the El Paso region to join our team! 🫡✨️

📍 Location: El Paso, TX (UTEP Chapter)
💰 Compensation: $500 per month (stipend)
⏰ Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week

Responsibilities:
○ Lead and delegate tasks to achieve chapter goals.
○ Recruit and organize chapter officers.
○ Serve as the main point of contact for the chapter.
○ Ensure chapter compliance with university policies.
○ Collaborate with the Campus Organizer on advocacy/event ideas.
○ Regularly meet with fellow student leaders to set goals.

Qualifications:
○ High energy and enthusiastic personality.
○ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
○ Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
