TXCPA El Paso Annual Scholarships for Accounting Senior and MAcc Students!

The El Paso Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants is awarding two $1,000 scholarships this academic year for the Spring semester beginning in January:

Outstanding MAcc Scholar: Scholarship awarded to an applicant who has completed his or her undergraduate degree and is enrolled in the Master of Accountancy program at the time of the scholarship award.

Outstanding Senior: Scholarship awarded to an applicant who has completed his or her junior year (90 credit hours or more) and 12 upper division accounting credit hours at the time of the scholarship award.

Applications are due November 19.

This course will provide a (new!) TXCPA El Paso Level I Staff Development Certificate of Completion in addition to 8 hours of CPE credit.

The day’s sessions include four 1-hr soft skills topics (Accountability, Efficiency, Communication, and Leadership), and four 1-hr Excel skills topics (Fundamentals, Habits of Excel Pros, Optimizing Data, and the Power of Macros).

To avoid cancelation of this course, kindly register by November 4th. If we meet minimum enrollment by November 4th, registration will remain open through November 12th.

Our October 22 Chapter Meeting will feature a Panel Discussion with the Candidates for Mayor of El Paso. All the candidates have been invited to participate and we will host as many as possible, if not all, schedules permitting.
