🎉Registration is open for the Fall 2024 Session of Operation Hero!

🦸‍♂️Operation Hero is a 10-week after-school program for grades 2-8 that helps children of military families with homework, social skills, and self-esteem. The curriculum is designed to help children find practical ways to address the unique challenges of military life, introduce tools to help them succeed in school, and improve social and communication skills.

📅Fall 2024 Operation Hero will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting August 27th at Bliss Elementary from 3:25p-5:45p.

Operation Ride Home is an application-based travel assistance service, generously supported by presenting Sponsor Jack Daniel's and American Airlines, to help junior enlisted service members and their families who may not have the financial means to travel home for the holidays.

Today marks the end of an incredible chapter for the Armed Services YMCA El Paso as we bid farewell to our esteemed Executive Director, George Elsaesser. Over the years, George has led with unwavering dedication, passion, and a deep commitment to our mission of serving military families.

Under George’s leadership, we have expanded our programs, reached countless families, and strengthened our community ties. His vision and hard work have made a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for his service.

As we say goodbye to George, we are excited to welcome our new Executive Director, Retired U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Jerry Jacobitz. We are excited to continue our mission under Jerry’s guidance and look forward to reaching even greater heights together! 🚀

Help us make a difference in our community by volunteering at The Great Clean Up! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist in tidying up the grounds of our Lodge and Child Development Center.

By participating in events like The Great Clean Up, you're helping the Armed Services YMCA El Paso reduce overhead costs, allowing more funds to directly support programs serving military families.

The ASYMCA here at Fort Bliss hosted Operation Holiday Joy, where they were able to provide 250 Thanksgiving meals and 300 children's Christmas toys in 2023, with the help of our $2,500 grant!

As we gear up for another wonderful FBSA season, we're looking back on all of the amazing organizations that we were able to support last year. Our grant program gave out a staggering $60,000 to local organizations in our 2023-2024 year!!
