The Association is the second oldest historical organization in the City of El Paso. The Missions are the oldest Missions in the entire United States and have served the Catholic Community continuously since the 1600's. We partner with Historians in Texas, New Mexico and the State of Chihuahua Mexico to educate the community of our shared history. Our historical costumes have been used in Chihuahu

The El Paso Mission Trail Association is excited to host our next art exhibit at the Mission Valley Visitor Center! Join us on Friday, August 16th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for the official unveiling of "My Hands 2 Yours" by Treavor Pence. Treavor is a local artist who has been painting and drawing for over 25 years. He mainly specializes in painting landscapes but also does pencil sketches of people and pets. Can't make it to the reception? Treavor's work will be on display from July 9th - Septemeber 30th. Feel free to stop by!
Don't forget to visit our latest exhibit at the Mission Valley Visitor Center before it's gone! Take a step back in time and view how weddings along the El Paso Mission Trail have changed over the years. Last day for the exhibit is August 31.
The El Paso Mission Trail Association is working on a School History Exhibit focusing on the Ysleta and Socorro area. We are seeking memorabilia including school photos, yearbooks, uniforms, and other kinds of related items that can be displayed at the Mission Valley Visitor Center. Join us on Saturday, May 25th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM for the opening of our newest art exhibit that showcases the work of Pedro J. Aybar. The new exhibit is called "Renuevo de Esperanza" and will be on display until June 30th at the Mission Valley Visitor Center. Mr. Aybar is a local artist who specializes in murals and eye-catching pieces of artwork. Come meet the talented reenactors who perform historic and melodramatic gunfights in El Paso and all throughout the Southwest! The El Paso Mission Trail Association is excited to host Dr. Jorge Luis Garcia Ruiz who will be discussing his book "Presidio: Soldados del Rey" on Friday, May 10th at 11:00 am at the Mission Valley Visitor Center. Dr. Garcia Ruiz is a professor at Texas Lutheran University and has conducted extensive research on Spanish History in North America. Join us for "Faces, Feelings, and Moments" by Rodrigo Armijo. Rodrigo's style is unique in that he paints the images that come to his mind. His work incorporates quasi phantasmagorical and otherworldly figures with bright colors. Maria Almeida Natividad is an El Paso author and artist who wrote and illustrated a book titled "Famous Places in El Paso History," a bilingual picture and activity book for children of all ages. She has hosted numerous "repujado" workshops on the art of metal embossing techniques and will be showcasing her work. It is perhaps the most popular holiday in Mexico, and definitely popularly observed in the greater El Paso area.
The El Paso Mission Trail Association will be hosting a Dia De Los Mu***os community event on November 1st and 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mission Valley Visitor Center.
