The last 2 weeks have been a tough and dark time for the fire service as a whole. Lancaster city fire lost one of their members after succumbing to his injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Baltimore city lost a member last week due to injuries from a fire and yesterday lost another member who received injuries at the same fire. There were a few more fatalities and injuries involving accidents in fire apparatus and individuals responding to calls. The Ephrata fire company offers their condolences and keeps the affected departments and their families in our thoughts.

Tonight started the week of Halloween celebrations for the fire company. We had a crew at our station for the Cocalico Valley VFW Post 3376 - The Ephrata VFW Jack Frost costume parade. We enjoy being able to be apart of this every year.

We also had a crew at LCBC Church, for their first trunk or treat/ fall fest. It was a great time. Thank you so much for the invite.

We enjoyed seeing everyone at both events. Thanks for stopping by to talk to us.

We would like to thank everyone in the community for their concern and understanding due to our restroom situation. While there was no damage done to our facility, it unfortunately forced us to make the decision to no longer offer our restroom facilities to the public during the fair. Our volunteers continue to staff the firehouse this evening and throughout the fair clean up process tonight and we are always happy to have visitors!!

09/28/2023

Due to the defacing of our facilities last evening during the parade. Our apparatus bay restrooms will no longer be open for public use. The bathroom facilities in the banquet room will still be open to exhibit guests.
