A new study finds the key role of bone in regulating the fight or flight response. In response to alarm signals from the brain, nerves within bone release osteocalcin, which immediately lowers the parasympathetic "brake" and lets the fight or flight response take over!
https://m.phys.org/news/2019-09-bone-adrenaline-flight-response.html
This research is no surprise to anyone that studies or works with fascia, the connective tissue network of the body that is especially dense around the muscles. Fascia is known to play a huge role in the fight or flight nervous system and is also continuous with bone.
Although we think of bone as "solid," 20% of it is actually water, and electrical charges and movement of this water transmits mechanical messages through bone, just like it does through fascia. In fact some scientists call bone "mineralized fascia."
According to a recent review article, "bone is part of the fascial continuum...that constantly transmits and receives mechano-metabolic information." https://www.cureus.com/articles/16943-bone-tissue-is-an-integral-part-of-the-fascial-system
It is fascinating to see how scientists are unravelling the complex interplay between the nervous and musculoskeletal systems!
I am posting this again by request...So many people enjoy drinking these instead of soda etc...and they are so much better for us!!

I’m so proud of my daughter who has been working on the creation of the first online Nahuatl and Spanish dictionary
The Mexica language of Nahuatl is part of the Uto Aztecan or Uto Nahuatl Linguistic Group.
While there are other Indigenous language groups, the Uto Aztecan was the most wide spread at one time and still is today with many Nahuatl speakers in Mexico and Nawat (a Nahuatl dialect) speakers in El Salvador. This Linguistic Group stretches from the U.S. Southwest down to Central America. By far, Nahuatl is the most common of all the Aztecan languages and, in Mesoamerica, was the primary language at the time of contact with Europeans.
Many Mexican tribes and US Southwest tribes are linguistically and culturally related, thus a common language root is shared.
Before the European invasions, there were Nahuas or Uto Aztecan speaking tribes and peoples up to Northern Nevada, California, Utah, throughout the present day U.S. Southwest, and in Mexico. The language family and culture also spread to present day Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
The Uto Aztecan Linguistic Family consists of over 30 languages. The name of the language family was given to show that it joins the Ute language of Utah (also named for the Ute people) and that of the Aztecan languages of Mexico.
Several members of Northern Native American tribes have commented that Chicano identity and, specifically, the idea of Aztlan, is a threat to tribal sovereignty for Native American tribes in the U.S. Southwest. This is not true.
Countless historical documents, Native American oral histories, genetics, and linguistic evidence agree that people of Mexican descent originally lived together with other Native groups in an original homeland. Chicanos call that homeland, Aztlan, which concords with the history of our ancestors. Other Native groups have different names for this original homeland, but, it's the same one. We are Natives to this land. We are brethren.
The Uto-Aztecan languages include:
N. Uto: Comanche, Panamint, Shoshone
S. Numic: Chemehuevi, Southern Paiute (Ute), Kawaiisu
W. Numic: Mono, Northern Paiute
S. Uto: Nahuatl, Pipil, Pochutec
Takic: Cahuilla, Cupeno, Juaneno,Luiseno
Serran: Serrano, Gabrielino, Tubatulabal, Hopi
Taracahitic: Guarijio, Mayo,Tarahumara, Opata, Yaqui
Tepiman: Pima Bajo, Tepehuan, Tohono O'odham
Corachol: Cora, Huichol, Tubar
