We canโt believe itโs already over!
For the past 3 weeks, weโve discussed the ins and outs of Sylver Consultingโs hybrid work model, why we structure our business this way, and how we maintain it.
โข Week One: We pulled back the curtains on our unique in-person operations as a fully hybrid team.
โข Week two: We discussed the necessary elements of personal accountability, shared appreciation, and the foundation of trust that allow Sylver to thrive as a hybrid environment.
โข Finally, this week, we discussed the importance of leadership and the qualities our leaders and every single member of the team must work to improve on to guarantee the continued success of this model.
While the way we work certainly works well for us, it may not work for everyone.
Butโฆ
With the right foundation, a reliable team, and committed leadership, we believe hybrid work is a fantastic option for many businesses on the fence about whether or not to return to office full-time.
From increased productivity, greater flexibility, and limitless opportunities for collaboration, you and your team could be missing out on many benefits of hybrid work.
Would you consider moving towards a 100% hybrid model in your business?

Take a look at the picture we just received from Brady, our Design Researcher II, as he works remotely all the way from New York!
Over the last three weeks, we have illustrated the ins and outs of our hybrid-work model. Sylver Consulting team member's have worked from California to NYC and even in Brazil, and this update from Brady perfectly encapsulates our ๐ฌ๐๐ฎ:

Without every individual contributing equal effort, we would not thrive as well as we do through our unique application of hybrid work. We are so grateful to our incredible team members for embodying our values, acting on our motto of โassuming positive intent,โ and helping us to build such an inspiring environment of shared appreciation and responsibility.

Every month-or-so our team gets together in-office for lunch to do our โPassion Projectsโ speaker series, where we meet monthly and have team members share any topic they are passionate about. In general, we create an open dialogue that encourages questions and conversation.
This month, team member Briel presented about her summer as a first-time home gardener. She talked about what you need to get started, what to look out for and how to be successful. We had an insightful conversation alongside some trivia and delicious snacks directly from her garden. It was a wonderful learning opportunity!
Thank you, Briel, for the interactive and yummy presentation! This is one of the many opportunities our team takes to gather together in-person to make our hybrid work, ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฌ.

This week weโre celebrating National Management Training Week, a dedicated week in August promoting the continuous development of skills required to maintain great leadership!
For leaders of a fully hybrid team, the pressure to maintain consistency is even higher, but our incredible leaders hardly seem to bat an eye.
Thatโs because they deeply value and prioritize the practice of providing team members with continued education and new skill development, making regular adjustments to best practices as we evolve, and creating safe spaces for authentic communication when anyone notices opportunity for growth.
Two weeks ago, our team attended the Global Leadership Summit , where we learned about about visionary leadership and how to inspire and equip others to achieve a shared vision.
The best leaders understand that to manage a team-โno matter the locationโthey first need to be excellent managers of themselves, their time, their habits, their goals, and their visions.
At Sylver Consulting, our founders have made their unique vision of a fully hybrid consulting agency a reality.
And our team will continue to do our part in applying and improving on everything we learned at GLS this year.
Next week, we will discuss everything we have learned, where we can grow from here, and whether or not you should consider applying a hybrid model to your own teamโฆ
Today, weโre spotlighting the continued growth of a member of our marketing team, Santana Wright. She recently finished a program called Alex Cattoni & The Copy Posse Launch Pad, an 8-week intensive copywriting course, and received the following certificate.
The program featured a combination of live and pre-recorded video training sessions (plus a ton of additional templates, guides, and formulas) that guided each participant through the process of writing an entire sales funnel for their real-world client!
Now that Santana has graduated, she will have access to a whole new library of marketing tools and materials to apply to future projects with and outside of Sylver. She will also be attending an exclusive event in Vancouver, BC in two months where she will meet other members of the Copy Posse community and Launch Pad graduates!
At Sylver Consulting, we are so proud to support our team in their continuous education as they develop new skills and evolve.

continued on this week as we explored our three core values and now we look at the one fundamental that brings us all together. So let's discuss: ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ.
If your team is considering hybrid work at all, you must understand one important thing!
This model only works if you foster an environment of absolute TRUST in your employees and coworkers.
Nurturing this level of trust among the team allows us to work collaboratively from any location with absolute faith that each member will complete their work to the best of their ability.
Innovation can dwindle as companies grow, but leaders like Jeff Bezos keep it alive with continuous experimentation. Learn how to foster team innovation and stay competitive in this insightful blog.
7 Keys To A Continuous Innovation Mindset Within Teams Innovation tends to come naturally from aspiring entrepreneurs and new teams, but as your company grows, that spirit of innovation is often lost.
continues on as we dive into our last core value. So let's discuss: ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.
At Sylver Consulting, we pride ourselves on our ability to collaborate despite regularly working remotely across counties and even time zones!
Our team has bi-weekly, in-office Work Together Days in addition to weekly meetings to ensure everyone stays on the same page and gets the opportunity to present any new ideas, perspectives, or concerns at every stage in the process.
continues today as we dive into our core values. So let's discuss our second core value: ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.
We want our team memberโs to know that their contributions are valued. Thatโs why once a week, we shout out individual achievements and milestones to share our appreciation.
When people know that they are seen, heard, and appreciated, they feel more encouraged to speak up about concerns and collaborate in the workplace.
This allows us to operate with the โassumption of positive intent,โ a rule which many team members attribute to their success on the team.
When you join a team of creative researchers and innovators who embrace your unique talents, teach you to โassume positive intentโ, and encourage you to grow your skillset:
continues this week as we dive into our three core values and the one fundamental that brings us all together. So let's discuss our first core value: ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ.
If you have a small team or a small business, you understand why is so important.
Each member has to take full accountability for their assignments and deadlines, as it heavily affects every other member of the team.
Because everyone leans on each other equally, everyone chips in when an obstacle arises for any individual, creating a close collaborative environment.
Does it feel like your and sales teams are missing the mark when it comes to winning the business of big organizations and selling your products? Do you worry about meeting your growth goals because sales teams are too dependent on a small set of contacts in the B2B sales process?
Today, we're pulling back the curtain on Sylverโs Decision-Making Ecosystem (DME) method, a process that gives your sales and marketing teams a more complete and accurate understanding of what makes B2B clients โget to โyes.โโ
Imagine being able to see your B2B clientsโ full decision-making process, instead of peering at it through the straw of just a few individual contacts.
That's precisely what the Decision-Making Ecosystem method offers.
Are you ready to start understanding your B2B customers on a deeper level?

Take the first step: https://sylverconsulting.com/blog/decision-making-ecosystems.html
Decision-Making Ecosystems and B2B Sales and Marketing Large organizations are complex webs of accountability and decision-making processes. Effective B2B sales and marketing require understanding that these โdecision-making ecosystemsโ are much more than just โpersonas.โ
At Sylver Consulting, we make hybrid work ๐ฌ๐ค๐ง๐ by staying true to our core values.
A recent article by IESE Business School Insight illustrates how trust and shared beliefs are vital for remote teams to thrive.
๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ, at Sylver, is the foundation that allows our teams to work seamlessly across time zones and varied locations. We firmly believe that if youโve taken the time to select the right person for the job and have established reliable frameworks for them to function within, then trusting them to do that job should be a no-brainer.
๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ: We especially value personal responsibility at Sylver Consulting. For a small team, ensuring each individual performs at a high level is critical, which means that every team member takes ownership of their tasks, their growth, and their mistakes. As the article stresses, reliable performance builds trust, and weโve seen how that trust then encourages even greater accountability.
๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: The article notes that shared cultural values enhance team cohesion. We understand the advantage of cultivating a team with varied backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions. At Sylver, we value and respect the diversity of our team, and celebrate how those diverse backgrounds and perspectives help us to thrive.
๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: Establishing direct rules and guidelines for members to work within is crucial, as clear lines of communication across teams and departments allows for greater creative freedom and collaboration. Our weekly Zoom meetings and biweekly in-office Work Together Days foster such collaboration and ensure we stay aligned and productive.
By adhering to these core values, we overcome the inherent challenges of hybrid work and deliver exceptional results for our clients.
What values does your team possess (or could they develop) that improve your chances of hybrid success?
We just finished two full days at the Global Leadership Summit conference ๐ From inspiring speakers to powerful performances and high-quality content, our team is now equipped with a leadership toolkit that we will be referencing for years to come.
Some of our team members' key takeaways:
โข You can't lead people if you don't love people.
โข Failure is an inherent part of the innovation process.
โข Active listening to truly understand your staff is integral to a strong team.
โข Never wait for the right moment to act, it might never come. Be courageous, step up and act now!
We can't just keep all this information to ourselves (obviously)! We plan to share all of the content that heavily impacted and inspired us throughout the rest of 2024. Our brains were hungry and they were fueled over these last two days! was a engaging and leadership-filled conference.
Stay tuned to experience what we learned! ๐

50 Over 50: Innovation Automation and AI are business buzzwords these days. Agility Robotics CEO Peggy Johnsonโalong with her cohort of โover 50โ inventors, scientists and STEM superstarsโare leading the charge in advancing these technologies for good.
Happy National Book Lover Day! ๐ At Sylver Consulting, we put a heavy emphasis on learning. In fact, 6 out of 13 people on our team have the โLearnerโ trait from The Clifton Strengths Test.
This helps our clients in multiple ways, including:
โข The ability to quickly absorb the most up-to-date information on each clientโs industry and adapt our methodologies accordingly
โข The ability to not only learn quickly but to also to teach or convey that information in an easily understandable way for clients
โข The ability and willingness to change course when presented with valuable information
โข The ability to improve processes, troubleshoot problems or set a new, more productive course based on research
Even off the clock, our team is full of bookworms with a passion for expanding their knowledge-base and perspectives through reading.
Here are the books each our team members said currently consume their evenings (and what they had to say about them):
Sabina is reading Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk.
โI find the main character lovable (dare I say even relatable), a very eccentric woman that is obsessed with William Blake and astrology. Itโs dark and philosophical with strong animal rights undertones. All that plus a good murder mystery! Everything is right up my alley.โ
Briel is reading Old God's Time by Sebastian Barry.
โThis is the best book I've read in the past year and possibly a favorite of all time. I don't have it with me at the moment because I'm always lending it to the next person. I'm also currently reading The Boss by Mike Royko to learn more about the Daley legacy in Chicago and my favorite neighborhood, Bridgeport.โ
Peter is reading A Childrenโs Bible by Lydia Millet.
โAmazing brew of climate apocalypse, generational (adult-teenager) dynamics, morality and responsibilityโฆ I really, really loved it!โ
Rob is reading So Help Me God by Vice President Mike Pence.
โA story of a person who grew up in rural life, self made, who has a strong commitment to public service, his family, and democracy+capitalism.โ
Jason is reading The Giver by Lois Lowry.
โIt has a particular interesting approach to expressing how humans fit into societal roles within their communities through a dystopian utopia and I also find the use of color psychology to be particularly effective in describing how one can break away from societal convention to express a more authentic version of the holistic human experience.โ
Robyn is reading I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy.
โJennette's storytelling is captivating, blending humor and raw honesty. As someone who also struggled with an eating disorder when I was younger, her journey resonates deeply with me and inspires me to take control of my life. Additionally, it's fascinating to see the other side of childhood stardom and gain insight into the life of someone I idolized growing up.โ
Corinne is reading Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus.
โI am enjoying this book because of the overarching theme of female empowerment. The main character is confident of who she is and what she is capable of, even when continuously facing hardships, for many reasons, with one of them being her position as a woman in STEM in the 1950s.โ
Paul is reading A Distant Mirror by Barbara W. Tuchman.
โRather than a dry textbook-like summary of the fourteenth century, Tuchman chooses to weave a story following the adventures of a French nobleman. This creative approach has brought medieval Europe completely to life, giving me a newfound appreciation for how lucky I am that I was not born during this period.โ
Enya is reading Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely.
โI really like it because itโs fascinating to realize some aspects of how people make decisions and understand the real โwhyโ behind it!โ
Brady is reading Illness as Metaphor and AIDS and Its Metaphors by Susan Sontag.
โSontag is an absolutely brilliant essayist and the fact that she had the wherewithal to write this piece on tuberculosis and cancer (in Illness as Metaphor) while going through her own cancer treatment and then followed that up with further analysis/critique about the punitive way culture was talking about AIDS during the AIDS crisis is mind-blowing. Connected so many dots in my head about the ways society talks about sicknessโ
Adriano is reading The 32 Principles: Harnessing the Power of Jiu-Jitsu to Succeed in Business, Relationships, and Life by Rener Gracie and Paul Volponi.
โIโm reading this book because Iโm passionate about martial arts and fascinated by its intersection with business and life. Rener Gracie, the grandson of BJJ founder Helio Gracie and son of UFC founder Rorion Gracie, has achieved remarkable success by establishing Gracie University.โ
