Diagnosis
At the beginning of every session, I touch at the navel and feel into my client’s entire body. I am asking an open ended question: “what do you want me to know?” Sometimes I get a striking impression of my client’s mood, or more details about the physical complaint, or I pick up on a second and often
I then follow up with the traditional Zen Shiatsu meridian diagnosis. This is not diagnosis in the western medical sense, but an oriental diagnosis that gives insight into the problem, what it feels like to be my client, and what I can do to help.

After the cracked bones cook for 2+ days, the marrow has left an extremely rich and concentrated stock. After straining the solids through a colander, fluff with a fork, add water and press out the liquid with a pot bottom. This can be repeated a few times and will extend the yield 2-3 times. Mix all of the liquid together and store.
