On June 30, 2023, The Good Samaritan Home, Inc., sold its facility and operations to another provider. Going forward, Good Sam Inc. will remain a not-for-profit corporation, with the future to be determined by its member churches. We’ve established an office at Bethel UCC in Evansville and have secured several contracted employees to assist the Board and Membership, including Rev. Michael Erwin as our Executive Director.
The Board is involved in a discernment process for a renewed mission and vision for Good Sam. We’re focusing on several areas of need, including:
* Mental Health
* Senior Living
* Poverty
The Board’s goal is to complete this process and recommend a path forward to the membership at the 2025 Annual Corporate Meeting.

Last week our residents put had a Spring Concert under the direction of Kiersten our on staff music therapist. The residents' hard work shows in their performance.

The Residents are holding a Spring Concert tomorrow 4/13 at 2:00pm in our centre. the residents have been working really hard and their talent shines through. The concert is open to all staff, residents, family members, and the community.

The Activity Department held our annual Resident Easter Photo Shoot. The pictures turned out great! For those that ordered a photo magnet, they should be available for pick up by the end of the week.

The Activity Department held our Annual Easter Egg Hunt this weekend. The Easter Bunny made an appearance along with prizes, cupcakes, and pictures. Thank you for those that joined us in celebrating Easter.
If you ordered a Photo Magnet they should be ready for pick up at the Front Desk by the end of the week. Resident Easter Pictures will be taken tomorrow. Thank you as well to those who ordered magnets, all proceeds go to the resident activity fund.

The Good Samaritan Home Activity Department is hosting a Car Show on Tuesday May 16th at 2:00 pm. We have more space available for those wishing to exhibit. If interested in volunteering please Call Carla the Director of Activities at 812-759-0441.

The Good Samaritan has several exciting events coming up so mark your calendars!!
April 1st the Activity Department is holding the home's annual Easter Egg Hunt. Start times are 2:00 pm for younger kids and 2:30 pm for the older kids. Both hunts begin promptly so come early and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Pictures and hunts are free! You can support the Activity Department by ordering a $5 photo magnet.
April 13th at 2:00 pm in the Centre, The Good Samaritan Home Choir will be hosting a Spring Concert with special guest performers. Our residents are very talented and would love for you to come watch them perform. Admission is free.
April 19th at 11:00 am in the GSH Centre there will be an Auxiliary Luncheon. All current and past Auxiliary members are invited to come celebrate your contributions to Good Sam throughout the years. Please sign up at the Front Desk to attend.
